Diabetic with a pump going to universal, tips plz

Hi, im also posting this on the universal bord

So im going to orlando next weekend and im going to Universal and IOA cant wait.
But i im diabetic, if only been to Universal once before and then i didnt have the pump, i was wondering if somebody who has been to universal and uses an insulin pump could give me some information and tips.

Are there attractions that i cant take my pump on? And if so could i keep it in a locker in a cooling bag?
Any tips would be great, thanks in advance

I wear an insulin pump and have been to Universal/IOA/WDW all the time! I've never taken my pump off for any ride. I just make sure it's nice and snug in my pocket and clasped on.

The only ride I haven't ridden is the hulk but I'm sure if you put your pump in your pocket you'll be fine!

Something else I've noticed is that I have to decrease my basal rates when I'm at the parks because my energy level is so high that my blood sugar drops a lot.

I also have been to IOA and never took my pump off. I rode everything and had no problems. I just keep my pump clipped in my pocket and it it fine. Hope you have a great time. I'll be back at IOA in April, can't wait!

My DD wore a pump to our recent trip to Disneyland. While she never had to take the pump off as it was secure in her pump pouch, we did have her disconnect for the roller coaster type rides. She wears a Ping and I guess some rides with 0 gravity could push insulin through the pump accidently so you would get more than you needed. Just a suggestion.
