DHS - which day?

Starting to roughly plan out our parks game plan.

We will have hoppers. 2nd park (if we hop) is always TBD. Here’s what we’re currently thinking:

Friday: Arrival day. Plans TBD, will add day to ticket upon arrival if we feel like it.
Saturday: MK
Sunday: Epcot
Monday: AK
Tuesday: DHS
Wednesday: MK
Thursday: Departure day. Will go to a park (TBD) until DME picks us up.

SDD is a top priority FP - we haven’t ridden it yet and both my kids will be tall enough. We are rope droppers, but never for the most popular attractions or something we need to be at the front of the pack with the masses for.

We typically like our last full day to be at MK, but do you think I should switch DHS to Wednesday (60+5 instead of 60+4) for a better shot at SDD FP? We are 6 adults, a 5yo, 3yo and a baby, 8 of us will need FP.

Booking it for Thursday (60+6) won’t work because half of our group who wants to ride will be gone.

I’m just struggling between having the best chance of SDD FP and doing the last full day of the trip at MK as we normally do.

If you can not get SDD for day 4 you can try for your last day before you leave

I understand where you're coming from because we also like to make MK our last day. In this case, I might switch and do DHS on the last day to have a better shot at Slinky. I wasn't able to get it for my trip (we are doing DHS on 60+2) so we decided to do EMM.
