I personally love this park and it could possibly be my favourite, but from the thread about the AK, a lot of people have commented that it is DHS that needs the improvements and that this is their least favourite park. I'm just curious about what people would like to be changed or added.

Personally, I love the atmosphere in this park and it has some of my favourite shows and rides, including TOT, Beauty and the Beast, Rock N Roller Coaster, fantasmic and the backlot tour. The shops also have some really unique things that the other shops don't.

I don't however like the current parade. I think that the one with the cars was better as it had a better variety of characters.

Perform Fantasmic! every night, again.

DW and I love the nostalgic feel of DHS!!!! That said....

Bring back the Hunchback show..

Change the show at the Backlot Tour...Harbor Attack needs to go

I'll agree with the previous post about the quality of the restaurants.

I actually think that DHS has a great mix of attractions. They have a few great thrill rides, some slower rides, and some really great shows as well. I think Disney does a great job of ensuring that mix in every park.

I think Robo might have the best ideas. We would love to have Fantasmic every night (twice a night a few times a week) and we really hate having to eat at that park.

and maybe they could build a 2nd Toy Story Mania, then we could ride it more than twice in one day :lmao:

Everything! It's my least favorite park, though I really appreciate the theming... It definately feels like LA on a hot day!

I can appreciate the attractions, but like AK, it seems like there aren't as many places to escape when it's crowded.

The restaurants leave something to be desired - I know they can do better! We never eat in that park... we'll eat before we go in or after we leave... it's never more than a 1/2 day park for us.

I absolutely love DHS, but there need to be more sit-down restaurant choices. Pixar Place is an amazing theme, but needs a few more Pixar themed rides. Fantasmic needs to happen every night. The park that should have the biggest theatre spectacles should be DHS and. I agree with other poster that they need to bring back the other parade. It was very movie themed.

Removing the Narnia ride/exhibit would be a good start (does anyone go to see it?) and replace with another TSM as a PP suggested. Also the HSM show is a bit out of date now and could do with a revamp before the new film comes out - perhaps a collection of songs from all 3 movies to date.

I love this park it is my fave!! Tot rules

We never really have sit down meals in the parks, so I guess it wasn't something that I'd really noticed. I hope tha Pixar place will expand with time and get some more great attractions there.

Agreed on nightly Fantasmic and better CS and TS restaurant choices. I would also either get the Backlot Tour back to the way it was or scrap it. And I would get the Studios back to being working studios again.

Definitely the restaurants. I can't stand any of the counter service and even some of the table servie is just not great. Also, there's just some stuff that needs to leave. The Indiana Jones show, for example. It takes up so much space and I've seen it once and was so underimpressed. I believe something so much better could be done with the space. Definitely have Fantasmic more since it's so popular. Get the parade back to how it was with classic Disney characters in cars. What the heck is this Pixar stop and jump around mess? Not my idea of a parade. Also, like someone else mentioned the Backlot Tour needs some kind of dramatic upgrade. Yes, I'm tired of seeing that same pre-show, but also the ride itself is getting old too.

I agree with the restaurants and the counter service places to eat. I remember when my family and I used to eat at the ABC Commissary when their menu had a lot more choices on it. We've stopped eating there after they cut down their menu by like 10 items.

This trip, we will just take the boat to Epcot and eat there :)

Everything else is fine at DHS, it is my favorite park because of the atmosphere.

#1. REMOVE THAT DARN HAT!

#2. Improve the quality of the food offerings. Really!

#3. More Streetmosphere!

#4. It needs an outdoor rollercoaster and some more rides.

#5. Freshen up all of the shows.

#6. More Disney characters!

#7. F! and/or a fireworks show every night. (Idol is so not an option )

#8. More Muppets!

#9. Marvel inspired attactions!

#10. More Pixar!

#11. Make One Man's Dream required viewing for all who enter the park.

On my first ever trip to Disney my son was almost 5. We made it to early EMH at HS and found there really weren't any attractions my son would like that opened early. Now that Toy Story is there, that is different now, but a few years ago that was our first impression. I like HS but we don't spend a long day there, and we don't go back for a second day in a trip generally.

I also feel that the show schedules are difficult to manage. I have never seen Beauty and the Beast, although I have always wanted to.

The food choices could be much better also.

They need better TS and CS. We never eat here b/c we just don't like the food at any of the restaurants.

I miss Hunchback. It was always crowded and most people loved it.

Overall, they just need to update things like GMR and Star Tours. DHS tends to get stale at times.

I second the restaurants which definitely includes the CS restaurants as well.

#1. REMOVE THAT DARN HAT!

But we love the Hat!

#2. Improve the quality of the food offerings. Really!

We only ate at Sci-Fi and thought it was decent (for burgers and milkshakes), but have heard the food is not so great in general. So okay.

#3. More Streetmosphere!

I guess they figured with High School Musical 3 they've already accomplished that.

#4. It needs an outdoor rollercoaster and some more rides.

Agreed. Perhaps a roller coaster ride themed after the Randolph/Sully/Mike/Boo door chase scene in Monsters, Inc. We watched this movie recently at home, for movie night, and DD said: "You know that would be an awesome roller coaster ride!" Leave it to the thrill ride junkie in the family to think of this!

#5. Freshen up all of the shows.

Okay. I'll go along with this one.

#6. More Disney characters!

I totally agree. Why not add the little green aliens (not the army men) to the Toy Story character meet and greet? DS would be thrilled to see those cute critters with three eyes. They do have a bit of a cult following from what I'm hearing.

#7. F! and/or a fireworks show every night. (Idol is so not an option )

F! every night or fireworks would be awesome. :thumbsup2

#8. More Muppets!

Eh!

#9. Marvel inspired attractions!

Not a bad idea.

#10. More Pixar!

Ditto!

#11. Make One Man's Dream required viewing for all who enter the park.

Agreed, but requiring people to do anything will invariably rub someone the wrong way. ;)

^^^ My thoughts in red.

#3. More Streetmosphere!

I guess they figured with High School Musical 3 they've already accomplished that.

Um, no, HSM3 is a show, not Streetmosphere. Officer Manly, Tutti Fruitti, Rosie the Cleaning lady, Paige Turner, Bucky Greenhorn, and the others are Streetmosphere and they have made for many of our best memories of the parks.

Unfortunately it's my least favorite park. When it first opened, it was like trying to find your way around a maze. Nothing connected and you had to do a lot of backtracking. Getting to the main attractions was always a "study the map first" chore.
We're ready for the Indiana Jones attraction to become the Indiana Jones RIDE. We've seen it so often we don't even go anymore. Got to the point where we knew the dialogue. :-)
And definitely something to improve the eating. We haven't eaten there in years. The selection and menus need help.
We aren't likely to do Toy Story, and while we love the theming, we can do without the Pixar end of it. I preferred the real Disney characters.......
We could go there every week if we wanted. We haven't been there in over 3 years now.
