DHS touring

I have a two year old boy and I'm thinking oh how to tour DHS. I'm thinking we would want to meet both buzz and woody as well as Olaf. I understand lines for these characters would be long. If we go to rope drop, which one would you go to first? Can we do both before the 9:40 Disney Junior show? How early do we need to arrive for the Disney Junior show?

I was initially thinking TSMM at rope drop and meet buzz and woody after then go to Disney Junior but afraid TSMM would take too much time.

I can't speak to your whole question, but the line for Buzz & Woody at RD is very minimal. We were third in line and the wait was about 10 minutes maybe? I'd personally get a FP+ for TSMM and RD either Buzz/Woody or Olaf.

I'm not entirely sure if you can fit in both before Disney Jr. though. I'd want to be there by 9:30 so I made it into the show. It holds a decent # of people, but isn't one of the largest theaters or anything. Keep in mind you'll have to sit on the floor too. I think Olaf is a decent walking distance from Buzz/Woody as well so that would be an issue. You might have better luck RDing Buzz, then meeting Jake the Pirate since he meets right next to the Disney Jr. theater.

Olaf doesn't have long lines in the morning.
If the characters are a priority I would go to Buzz and Woody at rope drop, then do Olaf and you should make it in time for the Disney Jr. show at 9:40am. The first shows are not very crowded cause people are doing other rides
Can you grab a fp for TSMM?

Yes that's a great plan! Thanks @yulilin3 :) Characters would be a priority since a two year old cannot wait in line long and FP would be faster for TSMM. I'm thinking of going to Olaf first then buzz&woody then Disney Jr. I think that would work so we don't back track in the morning... Hopefully we would make it! I just realize there's so much meet and greets at Hollywood studios! And shows! Eats up a lot of time...

Just my opinion, but I think that backtracking will only take you about 4 minutes, DHS is really small. Buzz and Woody will get a longer line faster because people coming off the TSMM will see them and get in line, but with Olaf that's not the case, most people don't even know he's there.

Oh great tip! Thank you!!! I keep thinking the line for Olaf would be longer! Thank you again! I'm looking at the map and I'm not sure how far things are, great to know everything is close by :)
