DHS Star Wars Wknd Fireworks Outside Park?

We'll be spending one night at WDW after a cruise in June this year. We won't have park tickets and are thinking about hanging out some in the Boardwalk area. With the "Symphony in the Sky" fireworks happening during the Star Wars weekend nights, does anyone know if those fireworks can be seen (and are worth seeing) from outside the park? I'm thinking somewhere near the entrance gates where you can see down the main street of DHS, or from the sidewalk near the Boardwalk across the lake. Anyone done this?

Last fall I watched the special DHS Friday 13th Fireworks from the beach area at the Beach Club Resort. I sat on one of the swing benches & had a great view If you are on the Boardwalk Side to get a decent view you have to go all the way down to the end near the Dance Hall or go behind the Boardwalk Villas to the pathway along the water. I'm not sure how good a view you get from back there as there are rarely Fireworks at DHS. I know you can see the few from Fantasmic pretty good but I expect the SWW ones will be set off further back from behind the Back Lot area.
