DHS on nights with 2 Fantasmics???

Will be at WDW from Sept 3-10. On Monday the 8th DHS has 2 Fantasmics... has anyone been there on these nights? We plan to see Fantasmic on our arrival night, 9/3 so we won't have to see it again, but may see the later show. What are lines like on these nights? It is not a recommended park that day, but I was thinking of going to ride rides that evening while the F! shows are going... anyone else have luck doing this? My FP+ window opens up in 13 days and I am having a terrible time figuring out which park to do when! We do have hoppers and are staying on site.

I'm assuming you read that DHS is not a recommended park on 9/8 on easywdw.com, and after reading Josh's explanation as to why he doesn't recommend it, I would agree. 9/8 is an evening EMH day at DHS and he doesn't like evening EMH at DHS because there's not a lot of rides open and the lines aren't better than they are during the day. Also, when people get out of the second Fantasmic, a lot of them are going to head right for ToT and RnR, so there's not going to be short lines at those rides.

We went to Fantasmic on June 1. There were two showings and we attended the 2nd performance.

The crowd for the early show started to gather about an hour before show time. This was the perfect time to ride the headliners over and over for a couple of hours as the lines got really short. I believe that we rode Midway Mania & RnR twice and Tower 3 times during that time.

Once the park closed, we strolled into the ampitheater about 10 minutes before showtime and found nice seats in the best standby section. If you were at a football game, this would be the equivalent of about the 40 yard line. The theater was less than half full for the performance.
