Hello-

Planning a trip for early May. I know that predictive crowd calendars probably aren't to be relied on these days. Current circumstances make predicting future behavior difficult, I get that.

I have a question about the date of May 4. This is on a Wednesday this year, and I think because of that the two most popular crowd calendars show that as a pretty light day. I'm specifically looking at Hollywood Studios for that day. However, the date is May 4th, which has special significance for Star Wars fans. And I found myself wondering if Hollywood Studios is historically or typically much busier than usual on May 4th because of Star Wars fans? Would that be a date to specifically avoid DHS, possibly?

Any advice is appreciated - thanks.

Haha, not sure "crowded" and "very fun" can co-exist. Sounds like it might be a day to avoid DHS.

Well, in my personal experience May the 4th isn't really all that crowded at Disney any more. HS doesn't do that much special now. Back when they had Star Wars weekends and put a lot more in to Star Wars, yes. Now, I don't see the same impact

We are avoiding HS on May 4. Not that I think it matters much because of larger crowds but because I would WORRY that it would be! Lol

I have heard they have special merchandise. Is it only that day or can you expect it for at least a few days before/after?

We have been at DHS on May 4th several times - including last year - and it's never as crowded as you expect it to be. No problem getting on any ride, even the SW rides.
I think people get scared of the crowds and avoid it.
