I did not see a thread with this info so please redirect me if this has already been discussed.

With the Frozen events starting at DHS on July 5, did the wait times drop for the headliners during these time periods or were they unaffected? I am asking because my previous plans consisted of an extra ride on TSMM after the early F! show before the park closed at 10pm. From what I have read, TSMM is now closing down roughly between 8-10pm for the Frozen fireworks which, of course, ruins my plan.:sad1:

I am *hoping* that wait times for TSMM, RNR, and TOT will be lower during the daily Frozen events so that we can get an extra ride outside of FP+ scheduled rides without having waits over an hour in the summer heat.

Any info/observations since July 5 would be greatly appreciated so that I can tweak our DHS touring plans :thumbsup2

Wait times for the DHS headliners always decrease during the evening activities, including Fantasmic and special event fireworks. We were at DHS for a Star Wars weekend in June and I would expect behavior for the Frozen events to be similar.

One evening the kids wanted to see how many times they could ride tower of terror back to back. I believe they rode it 6 times in just over an hour (I got tired after 4), stopping just briefly to watch the Star Wars fireworks. The longest wait was 10 minutes but most of the time we went directly to the library for the preshow.

On a weeknight, we rode Midway Mania and RnR twice each plus 3 more trips on the Tower in about 2 hours between 8 and 10 pm. Then we strolled into the Fantasmic ampitheater about 10 mins before the late show started and got great seats to that as well.

As you mentioned, Midway Mania is closed during the fireworks show so you can't hit it late on those nights.

I was wondering the same thing about wait times. I was thinking it should be better...and I sure hope so. My kids loved Frozen, but rather do the rides instead.

Thanks for the info! I do hope this is the case for the Frozen events as well. I only have one morning half-day and one evening(which is mostly dining and F!) planned for DHS and we really need our fix of the 3 headliners. Other than maybe the Muppets show, nothing else is really a must-do for us at DHS. I would be thrilled to ride the headliners back-to-back until I got tired :lmao: Thanks again :)

I hadn't seen the details of the new Frozen events especially with the ride being closed due to fireworks. Does anyone have a link to the details? I need to check my FP, since I had planned mostly evenings. Thanks so much for posting!!

Have fun! Keep in mind that you can maximize your ride time by attending the 2nd performance of Fantasmic after the rest of the park is closed.

We were going to ride the rides during the second Fantasmic, Do they now shut down during this. Last trip we were able to ride TOT 7 times in a row before running over to TSM for 1 last ride. :)

Only TSMM and other attractions in that area of Mickey Avenue are closed at 8:00. The guests already in the queue for TSMM and Oaken Trading Post, etc. remain and everyone must be out of the area before the fireworks as it is a fall-out zone for the spent shells. All other attractions throughout the park are open.

After the fireworks do they reopen Mickey Ave if it is a EMH ?

After SWW events, Mickey Avenue reopened after CMs made a sweep of the area to pick up firework shells. No one has reported what happens during EMH during this Frozen event. Seeing how EMH is for onsite resort guests, I would think at least TSMM will reopen for EMH.

TSMM and GMR close at 8pm. They re open for EMH around 10pm to 10:15pm depending on how fast they can clear both areas
