In May we're going to WDW and meeting up with our friends who live down there one day at DHS. I decided to make lunch reservations for us, but the only thing available at the time was Mama Melrose's so I took it.

I just looked again and there's availability for our group of 5 (friends have a son who is 10) at ALL the restaurants now!

For a group of 4 adults and a 10 year old, would you recommend:
Sci Fi Dine In
Prime Time Cafe
Mama Melrose's

I really just want to make sure the kiddo isn't bored to death at the lunch which is why I'm thinking of switching it up to somewhere a little more "fun"!

Thanks so much!!
:hippie:

I voted for Mama Melrose. Part of the reason is because I've eaten at Sci-Fi, and while it's good, it might not appeal to the adults. Another part of the reason is because I've never eaten at 50sPT and I NEVER will. I don't care how good people say the food is, if I'm paying for dining, the last thing I want is for someone to harrass me while I'm eating. Maybe I'm just grumpy, idk :cool1: The schtick just doesn't appeal to me at all. I ate at MM last time I went and I thought it was great. The chicken parm was tasty, and the lemon creme dessert was so good! Enjoy your trip!!

We like all 3, but if you want to have conversations with all adults it might be a bit difficult sitting in the Sci-Fi cars. I voted for 50s Prime Time...our kids love it as much as us...we really liked the food, and the atmosphere was great. We liked the feeling of being thrown back into a 50s kitchen. Mama Melrose was good, but for us, if you've been to Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, etc...then MM won't be anything spectacular.

Happy Planning!

I vote for 50's also. It's really fun if you interact with your server.
I agree with the PP, Mama's to me is just like olive garden.

Mamas is like a really bad olive garden. I would leave the park and go elsewhere to be honest. Dhs has no good dining options

if you are looking for tasty food - go to 50s
if you are looking for fun with your son - go to scifi
:)

I actually like the food best at Mama Melrose, but I think 50s PT is the best blend of food and fun of these choices.
