DHS counter service - anything decent?

Over Labor Day weekend, we had the pressed Tuscan deli sandwich at the Studio Catering Company and I really liked it. The buffalo chicken sandwich looked good as well. Fairfax Fair also has some good looking chicken and ribs we always think about getting.

We like Pizza planet, standard Disney pizza, however it's so much food! We would have been fine getting 2 meals for the 3 of us instead of 3. It came with huge personal pizzas, a side salad, and a desert (for the DDP). Also like Starring Rolls, they have yummy snacks!

My dd's very favorite food in WDW is the turkey legs. Toluca's may not have a lot of variety on the menu, but they have what DD considers the best food. (I have to agree, they are very good.)

Our family is not a huge fan of a lot of the counter service at DHS, however Pizza Planet is at worst equal to other pizza places around Disney. The kids liked to play a couple of arcade games while the adults in our party got a few minutes to slowly eat to build energy for the rest of the day. The only counter I would certainly vote against would be the ABC Commisary. The place is so blah and so was the food. The first time it happened we thought maybe it was just because we were eating late in the day but the second time we tried on a later trip has made it a permanent no for us in the future.

I see so many bad reviews of the ABC Commissary - but to be honest, when we ate there we loved it! The food was very good - it was a little chaotic but isn't that WDW? Lol.... Then again, it was almost.... 3 years when we ate there. Maybe it got bad after that?

I'll add another vote for Fairfax Fare and another vote against ABC Commissary. I had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich at ABC and it was horrible. I have had the BBQ and the Fairfax Salad at Fairfax Fare and they were both very good.

I actually rather liked my chicken curry at ABC. It was different than the usual park fare and was tasty. Not real curry mind you but a reasonable facsimile.

... They also have a veggie panini, a grilled turkey and cheese panini, cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets.

We loved the veggie panini at Backlot Express!! We just booked our next trip yesterday and my DD10 has already asked to go back and have this sandwich!

Thanks to everyone for the ideas! (I didn't mean to abandon my post, but work got busy & then I forgot.)
