Correct. A big reason for the "delay" is they had to take out all of the special equipment from the facade and LMA stadium. Doing that they can reuse the equipment or sell it.
I'm curious when all the New York facades will come down. I feel like it'll be a quick and clean kinda deal with those as there isn't much to them, but it seems right now they're content to let them sit

They had to get ride of speakers and electrical equipment on all of the facades.

Noticed today that more construction equipment has left the new firework launch site, and fencing was starting to be installed around the site.

That DHS photo update brought to mind a quote, with a slight change from the original:

"You are a sad, strange little park, and you have my pity."

That update makes it look like the park is made up of construction walls, snack stands, and meet and greets. I'm glad we are only leaving 1/2 a day for it on our next trip. TSL and SWL can't open soon enough.

But on the bright side... six photos of the Mickey Brownie!!!!

So long as people can get that worked up about a cake pop Disney really doesn't have to worry.

Permit was filed today for site prep at DHS. The permit has an expiration date of 9/30/2016. One weird thing about the permit is it lists a lot of contractors including Hubbard (doing most of the demo work), Whiting Turner(did the frozen ride and meet and greet) and more. The permit isn't very specfic for what it's exactly for in terms of Star Wars, toy story or something else.

That't not a difficult pitch to make, that's for sure. Basically has it taking up all the shut-down areas of the park that aren't being taken by Toy Story Land.

Only leaves me with a couple of questions:
What's the blurry place in front of the land. I think the picture maybe has it sitting further back than it actually is.

What are they going to do with Star Tours? If you look at the photo - the center left building is Star Tours - with "Muppet Plaza" immediately to it's right. It looks to me like they would either have to (a) cut off Star Tours from the rest of the Star Wars land or (b) connect it in such a way that would then cut off "Muppet Plaza".

I guess the third option is re-theme Star Tours. With the push to these "Themed Lands" it makes me wonder what might happen to this ride.

Per Martin, ST will have direct line of sight now, and access. "MY" guess is, that is to keep folks hopping until SWE is built. Once it is done and open, they will probably change Star Tours to some other skin and format.

I wonder if they will take down the NYC building skins on the "Streets of America" and put up Star Wars themed skins instead. That new street view for EP 8 would actually work well.

The blurry piece to the bottom right of the photo is Toy story.

It's hard to accurately put a piece of concept art on an aerial image.

Star tours is staying for now. I think Muppets courtyard will be cut off a bit and be more secluded.

I highly doubt they would put up Star Wars facades. The large facades are going away altogether.
