Heyyyy is this another "Mickey is short" joke?

It's a well known "fact" that the reason Disney is so slow at construction is they only have the one ladder. Right now it's in the Animal Kingdom for those mountains, so DHS has to wait.

There was a demolition permit filed yesterday with an address that puts it in the LMA area and another today for the Cat Canyon area.

Why would they need a demo permit for Catastrophe Canyon? It's already gone.

I don't think its very the canyon but might be for work in that area.

There are water risers and standpipes still in the former canyon site. Those may be a separate permit as it's a utility demolition.

This is one possibility. There also appears to be a lot of underground concrete work that they may need to remove. I could see these sorts of things needed a separate permit. It could also just be for something else in that area, in park addresses often apply to more then one thing.

So am I wrong in thinking HS will be a half day park for a while? This is one of our favorite parks to visit, but sounds like it will be a mess for a while.

If you are into Star Wars and seeing the shows, it can definitely be a full day or more than a day park. We showed up at RD and stayed until after the fireworks during PM EMH. We didn't even see One Man's Dream, Disney Jr, Frozen Sing-Along, BATB, Little Mermaid, or Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Yes but not anymore for a while....
There's no more Back lot, no more M,S,&T's no more LMA. No more Disney Animation...

Don't get me wrong I still love the park, & I try & milk all the time I can get outta there, but with everything missing these days, it's kinda hard..

We didn't even do those or any of the stuff that is closing next month, except Lights, Motor, Action, since it was the last time. Basically, everything we did will still be there in the next few months, and we still didn't finish everything. But, like I said, if you are a Star Wars fan that helps. It just depends what you like to do. Just like @rteetz can spend a lot of time at Animal Kingdom, but we usually only last about half a day. That's because the stuff in that park doesn't interest us as much. I do lament some of the stuff that closed or is closing; however, I am looking forward to what will be opening. Anyway, the more people that don't go, the less I have to wait in line

Well - it's has always had the 5 rides it currently has - with the Backlot Tour being the only "ride" remove. Most of the shows still remain as well, with only LMA gone away. However, if you go frequently like we do, and don't care much to see the shows for the 20th time, then yeah I would agree its at best a half day park. We are only planning on going on our arrival day. Our flight lands at 11 AM, so we will spend the afternoon there and that'll be enough.

That's our HS plan as well. That seems like enough time.
