On 10/5 DHS closes early at 6:00 for an event. We will take a bus there, but we have an ADR at Il Mulino at 6:45 for dinner after the park closes. We'll either walk to take the boat to the Swan. Would buses still be running at DHS that we can catch a bus back to the resort? We can take a taxi if necessary, but I'd like to know in advance so we won't hoof it to DHS after dinner looking for a way home. TIA

No buses that late after the park closes.

If you're staying at BLT, take the bus to MK and walk to the resort.

If you have park-hopping, you can walk thru Epcot and take the monorail to BLT or bus to AKL. You could take the boat from Swan to Epcot to reduce the total walking distance.

You would have to have a ticket to enter Epcot.

If you don't want to do a taxi, I would bus to Downtown Disney or MK if it is still open.

Ok, thanks all! I'd thought about take a bus to MK but then I remember that's our first night and we have a one night ressie at POP before moving to BLT the next day. And then I thought, hmmmmm, I bet those DHS buses won't be running that late so I should ask. We'll just take a taxi back to POP. No problem.

last year we had ADRs at Sci-Fi diner at closing. when dinner was over, of course we had to leave the park. we had escorts to the front gates and a disney bus waiting. we aren't celebs or rich people (lol) but they made sure that we could get to our next destination. the people said that they know that guests have ADRs at closing time and WDW makes provisions for this. to double check, you may want to call ahead

Their dinner isn't at the park, though - it's at the Swan. There is transportation available, it's just easier and faster to take a cab.

The cost of a cab from the S/D to Pop is going to be fairly low.....I took one from YC to Pop a few years ago. It was under $10, including tip. I doubt it had gone up a huge amount. And taking a cab will be so much faster than anything else. The resorts are very close to each other!! Takes about 5 mins, or less, to drive it.

Yes, dissupermom, you were in the park so its not quite the same situation as the OP. So they knew you were in the park and had transportation available when you left.

But OP if you are fine with a cab do it. Any other way like transferring at DTD is going to take much, much, much longer.
