DH (postman) has been a driver for more years that I care to think of including being an advanced driving instructor for a while before the children came along (took up too many Sunday mornings) but he's got to sit a driving test tomorrow to be able to drive post office vans. Just want to wish you luck John  and hope it goes well, and don't worry about me not having the car to go shopping!!!! If he gets on a driving job he's got the chance of getting a full week off every 6 weeks instead of a day off in the week every week so it may make holidays more flexible so we may not have to wait until the children have left school before going to WDW again in the future. Now thats something to aim for.

good luck and pixie dust for John :wizard:

Good luck :thumbsup2 hope it goes well :cool1:

*!'#?* post office, they were crying out for van drivers which is why John put his name forward (also not getting any younger is finder it harder to lug the heavy bags around) have just cancelled this test for about the fourth time.
He's gone in even earlier than his normal 5am start to get the work done before the test. He's not a happy postman today.

I was just going to add my luck but saw your last post. What a shame. I hope they get their act together and let him sit it soon :thumbsup2

They will get their act together soon, after working for them for 15 years myself and DH working for them for 20 years we have seen it all before. Don't stress out too much it's the usual summer leave scenario not enough people at work as they are all on leave and they don't like to organise anything when staff are missing from their posts (unless it's a resign of duties strange or what) and sometimes they need to do a few staff in one area so they may postpone until they can get them all together!! Our own office has had this problem too and when staff did get to take the test many of them who passed with ease have yet to do any driving for the company! There's just no understanding them some times :grouphug: :grouphug:

What a shame ~ Hope John gets to take it soon.
