It couldn't have happened at a better time. DH has been working at a fast food place for the past three months because no other opportunity came along since he hurt his hand on the job in February (and cost him the decent temp job he had).
He went to an employment agency yesterday, interviewed today for a job and starts Monday. Great timing because now that the kids are out of school his hours have been reduced - as if the low pay wasn't bad enough.
It's still not the $ amount her wanted (but still more than fast food wages), but the benefit package once hired permanently is well worth the difference in the paycheck.
I'm just hoping he can tolerate the new work environment - extremely hot, baking plastic products.
