DH says we can go May 2006 :)

We were at WDW for the first time this past May, and when we left I tried to talk DH into returning the following year. He was dead set against it. 2007 was OK, but not 2006. So on the drive home we started to discuss other plans for our "big" vacation in 2006. Front running was camping at Custer Park and visiting the Mount Rushmore area. So I have been tenatively planning where we would stay, when he should take vacation, and renting a pop-up camper.

Today DH tells me that he thinks we should go to WDW next year, and maybe for awhile make it a yearly vacation. WHOO WHO IS THIS MAN??!! Needless to say I am starting to plan away. Where to stay, where will we eat, OH the joy.

Right now I am considering returning to the WL, but with a courtyard view in hopes for bunk beds (we stayed here in standard with BB this last May), POFQ, or CR as we like the ability to walk to MK. Oh the decisions that we will make.

Good for you! Oh the fun in planning! LOL We are doing a land/sea in Jan. 06 with extended family and I'm in "charge" of planning??!!! We will also be there for Xmas next year-that will be really fun to plan.Since our 1st trip last Oct.;I've been bitten by the Disney bug.! Good luck with planning your special vacation. How were the crowds in May? when in May were you there? How was the weather? Our anniversary is in May-so you never know... Take care,Angel

DH was like that the first time we went. He wasn't planning on going back right away. As you can see in my siggy he lost that battle. I was able to convert him. We even became DVC members!

I thought I read here somewhere that the WL no longer has bunk beds. Try doing a search the thread should come up. WL is a great resort, we loved it! We had a water view and it was of the pool and lake. It was beautiful. CR will be newly refurbished, my vote would be for that resort! I was also thinking of going in May and someone here reminded me of the Grad nights the first weekend? I would look into that because they will close the MK early for that. When in May were you thinking of going? I'm just curious cause maybe it will help me deside when to go!LOL

CONGRATS!!!!!!

We're planning a Fall 2006 big family trip then a couple wks ago DH says how about just me and him go for a quick 4-5 day trip in Feb!! What am I supposed to say ?!?!?! It will be his b-day and we just had our 10yr anniv and Im 35 wks preggo and not wanting to do anything of course so he feels bad.

He made me by the airline tickets today since Good Morning America had a piece on this AM about airline prices rising soon. I went to check on the price and they had actually dropped $10 since yesterday so we bought our tickets for Feb 2006!!!!

Let the planning begin!!

Right now we are planning on going April 29 to May 5, 2006. That is the same time frame that we went this year. We will actually drive from Green Bay, WI to WDW. We did it this year and it really went well. There is just so much stuff that we did not do this past year that I want to do. Illuminations, Fantasmic, the afternoon parades, and such. We actually did not go into any park on the last full day that we were there as we were tired and afraid of the crowds for the start of the Celebration.

For the next trip the plans are to get park hoppers that will start once we arrive, on the 29th. I think that may be a grad night as it was last year, but we might start off at Epcot with a meal and illuminations. We arrived at WDW about 2pm this last year, so we should have no problem with time.

We are thinking of either staying at POR or WL. I am leaning towards POR as there is about a $1000 difference, and with not really have expected to go next year, I want to save some money.
