My DH surprised me the other night by asking me about rates for the summer. Shocked me actually since I am usually the one to bring up WDW and also because I just booked our first DCL for 11/04. DH also said we should celebrate my b-day there since we celebrated his and DS the last 2 times we were there. To top it all off he also said we should look into AP's!! Ok once I calmed down from the excitement:tongue: I went into planning mode.
My b-day is June 16th, it's also the day the boys get out of school, BUT it's regular season. We LOVED CBR and went to visit last trip just for ole times sake. I'm a "budget tripper" and we went down in August for the $20.03 rate at DTD CbM we enjoyed it there too. I'd love to try the Dolphin for 2 reasons: 1) the closeness to Epcot and MGM and 2) I get the goverment employee rate. We could stay there for 1/2 the trip and then do the other 1/2 in DTD again. OR we could do 1/2 at CBR and then do DTD OR just do CBR. AS are out, stayed at Music in August for 2 nights and it just wasn't us. Now throw in the fact that rates come down July 5th AND I might get a great AP rate if I'm lucky enough. We're thinking of at least 10 days if the price is right. Also and see this is where DH starts with the eye rolling:rolleyes: Should we hold off till later in the summer.....like August so that we can maybe do another trip next summer before our AP's expire??? Had I never found this board I wouldn't even know about all the discounts, seasons, passes or resorts!! Ok, I also wouldn't be planning WDW trips every couple of months either :smooth: Can you all help me make a decision?

My DH's b-day is June 16th!

What about another moderate? CSR has a GREAT pool slide! Sometimes the AP rates for AKL and WL aren't bad. I say go for the end of summer. When do the kids go back to school? Value season kicks in around the end of Aug, but earlier for some of the deluxes.

Thanks susy. The kids usually go back to school the Tuesday after Labor Day but next September it's late so I don't know if they will begin before it or not.
I like CSR but DH isn't into the Southwestern theme, he's more of a CBR or WL type. I did consider WL, we looked at a room when we were there...seemed about the same size as CBR rooms. I really liked that privacy curtain that they had there.
I need to see what the rates look like I guess before I make a full commitment.
