I know kids can sleep in strollers, anyone know a place where DH can take a cat nap. He has lupus and needs to occasionally get off his feet. Do you think a CM would kick him out if he napped on a bench?

By the time he bussed it back to the resort, napped and returned, the rest of us would be ready to leave.

Any suggestions?

I have MS and sympathize. I believe you can go into any of the first aid/medical stations in the parks and rest out of the sun in the air conditioning. We only stay at a monorail resort so that I can get back and forth quickly, but I've read about others resting at these places in the parks.

First Aid Stations are located in all parks-they have nice wonderful cement free beds to lie on if hubby needs a rest :goodvibes
I have had to use a bed now and then for my get the sugar back to normal rest- They are SUPER nice - Love the nurses in MK who are used to my skinned knees and elbows-( I trip a lot - I carry my own First aid supplies but sometimes need a bit more help:)

not always an easy walk like in Epcot:) if you are in the world showcase in England- so plan ahead
as I always say I will ride the little boat- the rest of you can walk :rotfl:

My FIL has been know to SIT on a bench and doze- now he parks his scooter and dozes in the shade somewhere while we ride something he can't

I had a fantastic nap on the bench right in front of Epcot one evening! :lmao:

But, seriously, there are great First Aid stations at each of the parks. They are very nice and will help with anything from providing a free antacid to providing a place to take care of hygiene needs.

They are used to people coming by to rest or give treatments, etc.

I know Sue has some great pictures...but I can't seem to find them... ??

They basically look like a doctor's office exam room. They also have some that have 2 beds in a room.

Yes, He can rest/sleep anywhere. If the noise does not bother him he should be set.
There is a nice little place near the exit of splash mountain. It has a bench and tree. It is near a little kids play area and R/R's.

my dad has napped on almost every bench in WDW LOL.

I am not kidding.

:cool1:

If you are at the MK or Epcot our favorite place to rest is to take the monorail to the grand floridian. They have comfy chairs and couches, air conditioning, and even a piano player much of the time.

I have some great pictures of my sister napping on benches in all the parks except AK (BUT I'M NOT POSTING THEM SINCE I THINK SHE WOULD KILL ME IF I DID).

Anyway, First Aid is great. The staff are very nice and it is cool, dim and very quiet (usually) in there.
Some are double rooms like this one at MK (I have never seen 2 people in one of these though and the picture doesn't show the privacy curtain to block it off from the hallway.)

This is from the Studios. First Aid in each park does have private rooms like this with doors.

Non-First-Aid places I've seen adults sleeping (all, coincidentally, in Epcot - or maybe not so much, since that's where I spend most of my park time ;)):
. . . on a concrete 'bench' outside The Land
. . . on padded benches in the hallway behind the Fountainview in Innoventions West - at least I think it's west
. . . in the covered walkway area of the same Innoventions building, sitting upright in ECVs

In the MK, just take him to the Hall of Presidents. Great napping spot!
Good spot. Currently under renovation though.
Another good thing for some people is to not go back to YOUR resort, but go to one of the resorts in that area.
For MK, monorails and/or boats go to the close by resorts (Note:the smaller boats are not wheelchair or ECV accessible).
For the Studio or Epcot, boats drop you off at the various resorts.
AM resort is a bus ride away, so not reallly practical.

The resort lobbies all have cushy chair and sofas. Not the same as lying down I'm your room or First Aid, but cool, comfortable and usually quiet.

:thumbsup2
The Contemporary has wonderful couches 1 floor up with a nice view of the lake.

We often take DS to the little movie theater in the back of the photography shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. It is usually very, very quiet and hardly ever has any people in it. They play a continuous loop of old Disney cartoons.

As Sue mentioned, we are DVC members and often will take DS over to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and let him nap in the lobby area of the villas. It is extremely quiet and beautiful to boot! I'm sure stopping by any of the monorail resorts if at MK would be great.

Grand Floridian upper level just off the elevator has a SUPER comfy chair/couch that I loved to rest in when we were resort touring.

The information about First Aid is very helpful. My husband has diabetes, and has 'faded' on us in the past. Since we know his limits he was able to go to the Animation exhibit at DS and rest in the cool; knowing about the First Aid stations, however, would have made me much happier, knowing he was a) lying down, and b) near medical help if needed.

My issues are mobility. His have the potential to be much more 'exciting.'

That is a wonderful tip, I wouldn't have thought of that. :thumbsup2
