I am even a little afraid to put it in words. We are booked on the 1/25 Wonder. This trip is my dd's (17 & 21) Christmas gift. It is their first Disney cruise. My dh had chest pains yesterday and is undergoing a heart catherization today. If he cannot make the trip, I did not get insurance this time (stupid, I know), does anyone know if the airlines (Air Tran) or Disney will allow us to reschedule? Thanks so much for any answers and good thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I would like to wish your husband the best of wishes with his tests. Hoping for the best for you and your family.

Not sure about Disney, but AirTran charges $50 per ticket to rebook. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

We had a similar situation with Spirit Airlines with my mother. I called and spoke to a manager who allowed us to change all of our tickets to another date free of charge. We only had to make up the price difference if the new flight cost more. One big reason why we now choose to fly Spirit on a regular basis. This was for a WDW trip so I don't know about the cruise. It would be worth asking.
We will also keep your husband in our prayers.

I would call either DCL or your TA to get the official word.

Best wishes to your husband for a rapid recovery.

Sherry - My prayers to you and your family. Last summer, my DH went through something similar - ended up in the hospital for a week with one catherization process and had to stay out of work to avoid stress for 4 more weeks. It is possible that even after your DH cath, he may be able to go on the cruise and he'll have to do a lot of R&R. Keep your fingers crossed. Everything may work out just fine!

We had a family emergency and had to change our travel dates on short notice (about 2 1/2 weeks). DCL charged us a "re-ticketing" fee since our documents had already been issued. Since we were driving, that's all the penalty we incurred.

Prayers and pixie dust to your husband and you.

A reminder...IF you need to reschedule, speak calmly and kindly. Often times demands are met with "walls" and "no" where asking about "options" are met with more flexibility. Most customer service people are empowered to offer choices but won't if the person on the other end starts the conversation with demands. Even if you have to go to a manager, they still are briefed on the "tone" of the conversation befroe you have an opportunity to talk.

Good luck
