We are booked for two cruises; one in Nov 2004 (4 night) and the Aug 2005 14 night repo cruise.

For our anniversary (June 30th) I booked the REAS package on the Nov 2004 cruise ... and I've already been able to pick spa and Palo times with Debbie at DCL. I need to get through another 3.5 weeks before I'll actually TELL my DH about the REAS package (going to spring it on him during our anniversary get-away weekend in Las Vegas).

I know he doesn't read these boards - and am about 99.8% sure he doesn't even know how to find these boards. :teeth:

But last night he asked me "what is the ONE thing you REALLY want to do on the November cruise???"

Okay this is a man who thinks pre-planning is thinking about the trip 2 weeks before it happens. So why is he asking me about the November cruise 6 months ahead of time, and what does he have up his sleeve??

My worst fear: he'll call DCL to try and add the REAS package to our cruise (which I've already added)!!! :earseek:

Well, the worst that would happen is they would tell him, "Oh, you already have that booked." It should be on your reservation number.

Sure the surprise would be ruined and that would stink, but you won't have to pay for two, I'm sure ;)

Isn't that what pre-planning is....?

Lloyd,

What really cracks me up is he doesn't want to think about the Nov 2004 cruise yet, because it's "too far out" .... but this same man is more than willing to think about, talk about, and plan for the Aug 2005 repo cruise that is 40 weeks after the cruise he barely acknowledges is coming up (in like 23 weeks!!!) :teeth:

Men! Go figure!! ;)

I can relate to him. We go in October then on the same repo as you. I'm terribly excited about BOTH cruises, but looking forward to the Panama Canal trip a LOT more!! It's not that I'm not looking forward to Antigua and St. John's, but there is something HUGE about the canal.

Are planning ("Wacha wanna do? -- Don't know! What you wanna do?") and packing the same thing? I'm all for planning the trip (OK here's what I want to do), its the packing that doesn't need to be started more than a week before departure.

:rotfl: Yeah, DH will start packing the weekend before we go ... I already started packing in the sense that when I'm at the store or wherever I might buy something ("hmm we'll need this for the cruise"), then when I get home it gets tossed into a dresser drawer that is dedicated to vacation stuff (so it doesn't get lost in the many months before said vacation takes place). If I had my way I'd start packing a month before we left, but DH's business trips usually occupy the suitcases so that I can't prepack that far in advance.

But DH won't even do the "whatcha wanna do?" preplanning for Nov (except for the question he asked this weekend; which is abnormal for him; which is why I'm freaked he's got something cookin' like the REAS package) :)
