we have 19 month old triplets and a 4 1./2 year old.
We have not spent 1 night alone since the birth of our 4 1/2 year old dd.
My parents and my mil have decided to give us a night off.
another kind person actually booked us a room for FREE at saratoga springs!
it is THIS SUNDAY!

what would you do? we are so use to doing thing with the kids. also so use to having other adults around.

i am so afraid we will be bored!

We are 27 and 29 years old and Very seldom drink anything, but definitly pan on drinking sunday night since we will have no kids.

I hear pleasure island isnt that great anymore.
what about jelly rolls?
exactly what is it?
how much does it cost?
is it a club? resturant? what?
thanks in adv. i am so excited!

PI isn't much right now, so missing it won't be a big deal.

Jellyrolls is a dueling pianos bar. It has a cover, somewhere around $5 per person (may be more). It's not the greatest though.

What would I do?

A nice dinner, a stroll around the WS, watch Illuminations, and then have a good wander around the boardwalk (then to DTD).

Bored? Nah. Betcha' won't be! ;)

No ideas from me I have never been yet... but Congrats on some alone time!

we're maybe doing the same thing in sept for my birthday if I can get over the guilt...I think we'd go to the parks- ride a few rides- explore the "boring" stuff my kids hate- eat junk food (alot cheaper for 2 versus 6)- watch fireworks without worrying about children running off or getting stolen- drink just a little more than normal at epcot (not a big drinker but won't be driving or watching kids)....

that's all I can think of...hopefully will get more ideas on this board!!:thumbsup2

the PO both parts have nightly entertainment for FREE - in their lounges - Wed to Sun only (I think)

you could walk around West Downtown Disney - it has shops, restuarants, etc.

From Grandpa Ted, first of all, you have truly earned this night and day...

OK, if budget is not an issue, I assume you have all day Sunday and the evening at Saratoga Springs that night...
For Monday about 10 am get a $180.00 spa treatment at Saratoga Springs. It will be the perfect end to your romantic two days!!!

I recommend the Swedish Massage. It will include as much time in the sauna and hot tub as you want, and can be done as a couple.

For Sunday, if you can do a park, do EPCOT, do all the shows in each pavillion in Future World...Get a dinner reservation at Coral Reef about 5:30. It is kind of quiet, and one whole wall is the huge fish tank. In the park, take your time, do Spaceship Earth a couple of times cuz there is so much to see.
Stop at the great Art of Disney Store next to Space ship and really look at he neat stuff.
When you get to World Showcase, pick about 4 countries to have a "drink around the world." Ask the bartendar if they have a favorite drink. I recommend the marguarita in Mexico, and one of fun drinks in China...other than that just pick your own...

Wander in the countries, see the great 360 movies in China, France, and Canada.

Listen to the Beatles in England with a good pub beer.

Find the "living statue" in Italy, and the guy who balances the 5 chairs in France.

Wind up the evening holding each other during Illuminations at 9PM.

By the way leave the car home and use Disney transport of get a cab.

If you still have energy at 9:30 walk over to Boardwalk, and see if dueling pianos is still hopping. Stroll all the way around to Beach Club and wander in to lobby...It is beautiful...

If you still want to cab to PI, go for it....what I have suggested here is a Disney Sunday and Monday...PI is a party party atmosphere...Disney is Disney....

Have a wonderful time...

Ted

Be sure to do Energy with Ellen D., the Land with the Boat tour and get a fast pass for Soarin. Skip Mission to Mars unless you have a really strong stomach.
Get your picture taken with Mickey

I will second the Saratoga Springs Spa. The couples massage is heavenly! :cloud9: My husband and I also love to just hang out at the pool at SSR, have a drink from the bar and relax. There is also a carriage ride at the resort. There are lots of romantic things to do at WDW--it is not just for kids. :cheer2:

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your replies! some good ideas in them!

I shoudl have mentioned that we have been going to disney A LOT for about 7 years now. I use to go every other weekend before kids. then once ever 2 months when i had my 1st child, now it is 1 time about every 6 months now that we have the triplets.

We live only 45 miinutes away from Disney so not far at all. I use to work for Disney reservations 5 years ago.

MONEY is a HUGE problem here. We are only able to go as my dh company is paying for the gas. A very nice person paid for the hotel rom a a treat for us, my family will be with the kids so free babysitter. we already have annual passes (from before the money problems started last year.

SO as much as we would want to the spa thing is out.
we have already done downtown disney shops so much it kinda boreing BUT we plan on going to just people watch for about an hour.
I think the drinks in Epcot is a great idea (we will be pulling out the credit card, lol)

We were going to try to go to la nouba but then saw the price YIKES it has gone up a lot since i worked for disney 5 years ago, thanksfully it is not even showing this sunday night so no temptation there!

We have never gone to the boardwalk though, so maybe go there.
thanks for everyones tips.
keeo em coming!

Pleasure Island has gone way down hill IMHO since they allow kids in.
I'd pass on PI.

Jellyrolls is a LOT of fun!!!!!
It's a dueling piano bar, crowd interactions LOL!, and just fun times.
They play requests for tips and the guys are too funny!
Cover is $8- and well worth it.
It's a club, no food (just popcorn), smoking is allowed, but not an issue
because the fans suck up all the smoke.
best of all......
only 21+ years and up

Jellyrolls is a must for every trip now!
Be warned..... it's very addictive!

I love those kind of piano bars.
we have 1 here in tampa. I think it is owned by the same poeple. we have gone 2 times! but with another couple.
it is called
Howl at The moon.
the serve these buckets of drinks! so much fun!
we might go there!

Since you are staying at SSR, maybe you could have a few drinks and/or dinner at Ragland Road in DTD.My advice since you are familiar with WDW, do parks you like best, and spend all other time with DH  Typical guy response :lmao:Seriously, spend time talking and resting, you deserve this time together.
