My husband finally loves Disney World as much as I do, well maybe not quite that much. We just got back from another trip to WDW, our third in approximately 2 yrs. The other day he told me to go ahead and plan our next trip. Has he lost his mind? I couldn't believe my ears. Well, I'm not going to waste any time so now I'm planning a trip for December. He's finally been converted to a Disney fanatic and it couldn't make me happier.

That's good to hear! My DH converted me, but it didn't take much!

Thats Great news!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

If only my boyfriend would convert  - which I don't think will EVER happen. :earseek:

never say never... my dh swears he's not a disney-lover, but he's the one who suggests a trip every few years... of course, i plant and water the seeds, but make sure it's "his idea" ;)

My bf finally has.. The other day we were talking on the phone and he said "One more week.. I'm so excited"

I was like :earseek:

Finally!!

lol.

I successfully converted my DH but it really didn't take much - we are usually barely home from a trip and he's asking when am I gonna plan the next one. This year I beat him to it - I am already planning next year !!! LOL!!!

I told DH "Resistance Is Futile. You will be assimilated..." back in 96-hahaha. It happened. Now we are hoping to move to Celebration. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

My DH converted after a few trips, we used to have a habit of planning the next trip while were there..He would say, would you like to come back in December again next year type thing?? Now he pickes the time and asks me, can you get off work in March???...I love that man and glad he is as nuts for the place as I am, though he is quieter about it....:sunny:

Shhhh! My DH is a recent convert, I can tell, but he won't admit to it. But when I recently talked about how we had to tighten our belts a little financially, he blurted out "Just don't take away my trips to WDW!", then his face got red because he'd been found out! So I humor him and pretend I'm the only one who likes it.

Could you ladies bottle some of whatever it took to convert your men? I'd be first in line in front of a bunch of women and you'd be mighty rich, LOL!!!

My DH was the same way. It is a second marriage for both of us and his first wife had crammed Disney down his troat and when we started dating he swore he would never like it, his son said the same thing. Then we went for Christmas of 2002 and things began to change. He acted like he did not care about being there but it did not take long for him to talk about his favorite rides and shows at Disney. We had purchased AP's for the trip and when we got home I tried to just drop the whole DIsney thing since he had been so good the whole Christmas trip. THen in AUgust we were invited to the soft opening of Mission Space and since Epcot was his favorite he wanted to go. SO I planned a great trip and tried not to get my hopes up about how much he was starting to like Disney. Next, the week before Thanksgiving he came home from work and said lets go to WDW this weekend. After I gave him a stern talking to about how you do not joke about WDW he sat down at the computer and made the ressies. But the final proof of how bad he had become was when he was injured in the leg with a chainsaw and had a tattoo of Stitch put over the scar. Now he is a self confessed Disney fan. Not as bad as me and my son but close.:mickeybar

I was apprehensive about suggesting another trip just eight months after our last one, but DW is almost as excited as I am. This will be our second mom & dad only trip & our first "off-season" trip. Just made ressies at POP. Now patiently (NOT!) waiting for SWA to move ahead to February ressies.

Congrats on your DH's "conversion" suerob!

Hmmm, could you ladies direct me to this re-education camp you're sending your men to? I'm envisioning barbed wire, guys strapped into seats with their eyelids forced open, watching "Fantasmic" over and over and being fed a diet of Dansani, turkey legs and Mickey bars... I'd like to send my dh for a stint in Camp Pixie Dust.

converting DH is even more important when he is the breadwinner of the family, plus it seems like some men just have live in a more 'practical' world than us disneyholics. Going to DH isn't just a vacation or a trip, it is a true spiritual necessity. Kind of like going to church? (well, I can try can't I?)

Congrats. Makes life easier, doesn't it?
