DH has a question

my DH wants to know what would happen if we were on the cruise or on one of the islands and lost all of our identification..Not planning on letting this happen but he asked me and I told him I didn't know.. I figure we would have to go to an embassy??? I guess it would be good to know what would happen..

while I'm asking, when you leave the ship at Castaway Cay or Nassua what documentation needs to be taken off the ship with you? Do you just need your key to the world card or do you need you Birthcertificate and ID?

All you should take off the ship with you is your KTTW card and a photo ID. Kids just need their KTTW card.

If you lost your photo ID and KTTW card on an island talk to the security officers on the ship.

We made copies of DLs & birth certificates before we left & kept these copies in the safe in the room at all times as well as leaving a set at home so we would at least have the #s from them to get replacements easier.

I actually scanned birth certificates, passports and photo ids. Then i set up an email account and sent the docs to myself. That way, if anything were to happen, as long as i could find an internet connection, then i could at least retrieve electronic copies of everything...

The Navigator for the port days listed the ship's agent in that port's telephone number. I tore out the number and kept it in my dry box in case of an emergency. Never needed it.

A woman left her KTTW and her photo id on the Golden Eagle in St. Martin. Another person from the ship saw them and took them back to the ship and gave them to the officer at the reboarding point. Never heard what happened after that. Hopefully it turned out okay.

While snorkelling at the adult beach last May we found a gentleman's KTTW card and Driver's license stuck together in the bottom of the sand. We had just finished taking some photo's of a barracuda, when I noticed a shiny object in the sand. So I went down to investigate. Must have been pixie dust for that man. He was on our cruise, what are the chances. Anyways, dreams can come true, we brought the ID to the officers at the ship and they had aready sent the gentleman to Customer relations to work out some paper work. He was very happy to see that it had been found. He offered to pay us a reward, but we felt that wasn't necessary. He ended up sending a bottle of wine to our stateroom that evening. It was a true Disney memory.y

AnnMorin, yes, i make up a generic email account on Yahoo, and then send the documents to that.

Our DD and MickeyMagic's DD found a DL at Castaway Cay also. It was by the water play area. They turned it in to a CM- I don't think he was on our ship because they found it early in the day before 10:00 and they was nobody swimming in the area with them.

Any time I travel out of the United States I always make color copies of my passport. I leave one with someone at home and take a copy with me just in case. It helps replacing it a whole lot easier and faster. I never travel with original documentation such as birth certificates, wedding, certificate, etc. So far this has worked for me. .
