I couldn't be happier. We've been w/o an income from him for sometime, because he ran out of benefits. Things have been somewhat tight. We really have minimal debt, and I make enough to pay the bills. There just is never anything really extra. Like shopping for school clothes for my son, set us behind on a few things, then we struggled through all of September to get caught back up.
Anyhow, after what seemed like a million years and interviews, he got a job offer and he's happy w/ it too. A HUGE PLUS. He was 2 steps away from applying at McDonalds-- nothing wrong w/ it---money is money- but he'd of been so miserable.
He starts Wednesday this coming week. Christmas is looking like a reality again!!! Talk about a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders. The funny thing was he got the offer yesterday morning and then got 3 calls for second interviews next week. So odd that it happened like that, because he couldn't get a call back before for anything.

That is great news! I know you must be so happy.

Merry Christmas early to you guys.
I completely understand what you guys went through. I spent a year while in Texas looking for work with no luck then in 8/2008 DS who is now 18 and I moved back here to Southern CA. for family reasons and I am still looking.
I've been on 5 interviews and still waiting, patiently and DS is looking for a job too-needs to pay for community college come spring. Plus, we need to move to a different apartment due to safety issues but no one is going to rent to me without a job. I got into this apartment originally because I had money in the bank from the sale of my home but we have pretty much gone through it...blah, blah..... Sorry, I didn't mean to hi-jack I just got carried away and I guess needed to vent.

. Tough economic times and my heart goes out to the many suffering. I pray they can keep the faith and never give up hope, as there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
