DH had a few items he needed laundered at the last minute for a business trip. So he dumped all of the clothes from the dryer on the sofa, without even fluffing them so I could fold them. He dried the clothes that I'd had in the washer, but then dumped them on the sofa also, so I had no choice but to fold them immediately. Okay, I was mildly miffed at being so inconvenienced by DH's immediate need for a specific pair of pants.
But then DH wakes me up this morning and says "Umm... Don't kill me, okay?" To which I responded, "What did you do?" Well, it turns out that DH decided to wash everyone's tennis shoes in the washer/dryer after he finished his other load last night. And he didn't changethe dryer heat settings first and dried everything on "High". Our insoles are half the length of our shoes!
And since the kids only have one pair of tennis shoes each, I have to take them down to the mall today (with DS sick with a cold) and pay full price for tennis shoes for each of them and myself. Wouldn't be so bad if DS wasn't sick or if MIL wasn't sick (and I could leave the kids with her). To add to my misery, both kids have wide feet and I have a difficult time finding tennis shoes that fit when I have lots of time to shop.
So, for those keeping track of things to not let DH do -- don't let DH use the washer/dryer.

Sorry, had to say that. I can't believe guys don't know how to do laundry. What happened to when they lived in college? Or after they got out of college? I must apologize for the male species. I never let my wife do my laundry...I do all my own. So here's at least one guy that knows how to do laundry.
No problem though...he does so many other things for me that I don't need any help with the laundry.
