the South Pole! He left 2 days ago. Wow, he will be there for 4 months. Glad it is summer down there. He said he will send dh a postcard. Actually dh saw the advertisement and gave it to him, never thinking he would apply but he did and they accepted him. Wow, my dh has to go to Siberia in Jan, so that seems like a piece of cake compared to this.

I'm so jealous! I love anything to do with Antarctica or any place cold!! I know I'm totally crazy. You know how people fantasize that they are on a tropical island sipping cold drinks? Well I actually fantasize about trekking through the South Pole.
