Hi there,

I want to start this out by saying thank you to everyone here!!! You have all been such a tremdous help I cannot believe it!

But we got bad news last night, DH cannot get the time off at Christmas. He can get a max of 3 days. BTW the 3 days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, other people with more seniorty are taking the monday and friday off. So off to DL this year it will be. I asked him to put in for Christmas time next year. (December 2-10) So now I have alot of time to plan plan plan. I am sure that with the help of all of you, I will be able to save more money and do more with what time we will have.

So just needed to vent a little bit about this. Thanks for all of you always being so nice and understanding about the importance of DW in a life. I do believe that it is a must in everyones life that they get to see DW at least once in their life!!!!!!:earseek:

TIA

At least it looks like you'll have Disney magic one way or another!!

You are switching over Christmas this for early December next year?

You will be so much happier. First timers should only reluctantly do Disney over Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving or the 4th of July. Of course, many of them do - some of them have a great time - but so many people I've talked to about Disney who took their only trip at peak times don't get the charm. "Crowded, Expensive, Spent All Our Time Standing In Line, Took An Hour to Get a Burger For Lunch!"

Early December is supposed to be lovely - all the charm of Christmas with low crowds.

ITA with crisi. Christmas week is one of the worst possible times to visit WDW. You will have a far better trip in early December.

LOL...and I agree with everyone else! Somebody must have sprinkled you with Pixie Dust because you are going to have a much much better vacation! ...all of the decorations for Christmas are up by then, the crowds are so much lower...the lines are so much shorter (or nonexistant)...the weather is low humidity...and it's even "snowing nightly" in Celebration!

Are you going to have a car? Are you staying on or off property? How long can you stay all together...two weekends with the week sandwiched inbetween plus the other two days of vacation tacked onto one of the ends? (lol...if you get lots of vacation time in one chunk down there you might want to hop on a 3 night Disney Cruise also...)

Oh you are just going to have the best time planning this!!!!

I agree...........Christmas is NUTS!!!.
We took our first trip to Disney World on Christmas Day 2002........what a crazy day.......the gates were closed by 11:30am, we had our 2 DD ages 1 & 2.5. We thought hey everyone will be with family............YES they were with family at Disney.
So enjoy the time preparing for your next trip.......The beginning of December will be alot less hectic.
