Deyki's Make-A-Wish - 12/15 - Maybe not

I found your trip report last night and have now read the whole thing. My heart broke when I read your update after Thanksgiving. I'm so glad to hear Baby girl is coming home where she belongs. I will be praying that your family has the peaceful, happy Christmas season you so richly desearve.

I am seriously wondering how much of this I can handle. I know God is in control. I do trust that. But the ups and downs with this are just becoming too much.

I just got an e-mail that there may be a problem again. I don't know what the problem is. I don't know what it means. I just know I am tired of crying.

I just was able to log in for updates and it seems to be an up and down road. We will continue to pray that everyone is home together soon. I know that you will all be together for Christmas. Keep the faith. You have a huge support system praying for you and your children! :grouphug:

I can't post details. I really wish I could because I want you all to know the insanity going on. If I were not living through this, I don't think I would believe that the decisions being made are actually happening. It is that crazy right now! My three children and I are okay. My babysitter just happens to be a volunteer at the place they moved her, so hopefully she will at least see a familiar face.

I'm so sorry your still going through this. It's good baby girl has a familiar face around but I will be praying that you are all reunited soon.

A glimmer of hope - We get to bring her home for a visit for two nights over Christmas. I think we are slowly heading the right direction. At last.

That's absolutely awesome!  I'm so glad things are moving in the right direction, keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Well it's a start but saying that you are ok for a visit just not "for good" is blowing my mind :headache:

Finally. . . I am picking up where we left off in our TR.

After lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine In theater where the children happily received their own "driver's licenses", we found a good place to sit for the Block Party. We sat right where the Monster's Inc. float stops because Chantae is a big fan of Mike and Sully. Here is aphoto from when we met them earlier in the day.

As soon as the last part of the parade passed by, we followed them to the Jedi Training Academy. Deyki proudly took his place in the front of the line with all the excited little boys who had been chosen to participate. He was very serious about it!

Our Photopass pictures were so much better than the ones I was able to get. Thanks, Maroo, for helping make the photopass CD a possibility for us! :thumbsup2

Deyki was proud to receive his lightsaber from the training instructor. He paid such good attention to every word the man said!

More to come as soon as my slow computer downloads some more pictures. . .

You guys loo like you had a great time. I love the serious face on Deyki's face.

After training his students well, the enemy came to challenge them. Deyki was brave as he stepped up to take his turn to fight Darth Vader.

When the enemy was defeated, each boy was given a diploma. Deyki declared himself a Jedi Knight and kept telling us, "I have force!"

The only logical thing to do after Jedi Training was to experience the Star Wars attraction. It was a hit with all the children. My favorite memory is laughing so hard with my children as we hurtled through space. We shared more laughs this week than I can ever remember.

The gift shop we exited through was calling out to Deyki. He forgot all he had just learned in the Jedi Academy and turned to the dark side!

WishTrip-343.jpg

Oh! I nearly forgot to mention. The mom I sat next to during the Jedi Academy had a little boy who is eligible for a Wish. They haven't started the process yet, but plan to soon. I told her how wonderfully amazing the experience has been for us. Maybe one day she will read this TR as she is planning her son's trip!

After riding the Star Wars attraction twice, we headed off to Toy Story Mania. That is the one ride where we had to wait awhile. It wasn't a long wait though - maybe 10 minutes. We all had fun competing and spinning around. It was getting close to dinnertime by now, and I was getting tired. The kids were still bursting with energy!

I gave into their pleas to do Star Wars just one more time. Then it was time to head back to GKTW for the evening.

Somewhere between DHS and GKTW I found the energy to enjoy the rest of the evening. We stopped by the villa and checked out the fun gifts that had been left for us. Then it was off to the Gingerbread House for dinner. Before and after dinner we just had to stop for a few rides on the carousel.

Mayor Clayton stopped by to say hello during dinner.

During dinner we met up with Suzanne, Mikayla, and Nickolas. We went together to the spa for tattoos and nails.

I love the look on Deyki's face as he discovered the crown on his head in the magic mirror in the GKTW castle.

We played awhile in the castle. Then it was time for ice cream. There was some confusion over where the allergy friendly ise cream was for Deyki, but they figured it all out. He was thrilled to get to do something as simple as eating ice cream out.

It was getting late now, but we were having too much fun for bedtime. The kids chased balls and each other all around outside of the Safari Theater. Deyki tried to tackle Mikayla. They laughed and played as the moon shone above.

By the time we got back to the villa we were all ready to fall into bed. I mixed up Deyki's chemo, measured out the meds, laid out our clothes for tomorrow, and picked up a message that had been left for us. Maroo's package had arrived and they had a volunteer ready to drop it by the villa! We were so happy to get our matching Wish shirts!

We all slept soundly and woke ready for Deyki's big day! Up next - Deyki meets Spiderman!!

Thanks for the wonderful update. It was nice that you all laughed so much! I think it was a much needed week full of fun!! The jedi pictures are so so cute! Wish you lived nearer, Dallas is having a birthday party this week and the theme is lego star wars! Deyki and him would be fast friends.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with all of the kids back together! :grouphug:

I love the new update! Deyki looks like he liked the Jedi training. Toy Story Mania is a great ride. You took some wonderful pictures! :wizard:

Awesome updates!!!

I love that he got to do the Jedi Academy and am SO glad that the PhotoPass helped you guys get some great shots!! :)

It sounds like you guys had so much fun! And I am so glad that you slowed down enough to really ENJOY the trip and that you remember those times that you guys just had fun together!

Awesome report!

Ok...is this picture freaking anyone else out besides me?!? I thought this was an illusion? When you put your face up there the MIRROR shows you with it on...but check out the picture...something is really there? on his head? You can see the side of it before you see the mirror. :scratchin

I love the Jedi Training!

and :rotfl2: How many times did you do Star Tours? :faint: I cant even do it once!!

So glad you have the laughter!!

I LOVE the pictures! We got some nice ones but the photopass trumps all the ones we got. (Thanks again Maroo!)

It's so nice to look back and see all the fun we had. Mikayla and I were talking about how much fun we had with you & the kids just the other day (when I told her to remind me to get stamps so I can mail out your very late card-sorry & we still forgot stamps!) It's too bad we live so far apart. :sad2:

We're going to have to spend more time at HS when we go back. We didn't ride anything there this time...only photos with Nikolas' favorite characters.

Sorry to hear things were so rough for awhile! Love all of the updates and photos! You have a beautiful and amazing family! Sorry I have been MIA but I can't wait to read/see more!
