Deviled Egg Recipe?

Any one have a good one? Never made them before since I do not like eggs!

Everyone likes mine but they're really simple. I put the yolks, some salad dressing (Miracle Whip) a little mustard, salt and pepper in the blender and blend until SMOOTH. I can't stand them when they have lumps. Then I pipe (with a pastry bag) the yolks into the egg white halves. Sometimes I top with sprinkled paprica JUST before serving but usually not. I have friends who put pickle relish in them but I don't care for them that way.

Mine is very simple and everyone always loved them. I put the white from one egg in with all the yolks along with mayo, salt & pepper to taste. After mashing up this I add it back to the egg whites.

What she said, but a little different -

When boiling your eggs, make sure you put the eggs in cold water, take it up to boiling, let it do its thing for a minute or two, then turn off the heat and put the lid on. Let it cool until you can handle the eggs. This helps prevent the gray stuff.

I take the yolks, put 'em in a bowl, add a dollop of Hellman's, salt & pepper, maybe a bit of Tony Cachere's, and blend with the back of a fork. (Again, till smooth - see above.) I use an iced tea spoon to fill the yolks, and sprinkle paprika on top.

If you look at our recipes, the ingredients are very similar - and I'm sure the Miracle Whip and Mustard would give it a great kick - presentation is a totally personal (and subjective!) thing, so I would just keep in mind that you are filling a very small space when you put the yolk back!

Good luck!

Mine are simple like the others, except I add a touch of horseradish to them. Gives them a little kick...careful though, it's easy to over do it!

I make mine similar to everyone else except I use real mayo (has to be Hellman's) and add some pickle juice.

6 Eggs Hard Cooked
3 Tbsp. Mayo
2 tsp. Lemon juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp. Dry mustard
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
Paprika

Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks. Mash yolks and add next 6 ingredients – mix well. Stuff egg whites with yolk mixture. Garnish with paprika.

I make mine by pulling out the yolks and mixing them with with salt, pepper, mayo and some sweet relish and then I pop them back into the egg whites which were sliced longwise. Delish!

That sounds SO good. If only I could have eggs again. I would LOVE to have one of these.

DH, the guy with the Culinary Arts Degree sez:

Put eggs in a pan
Cover with cold water
Bring to a boil
Turn off the heat
Wait 15 minutes
Immediately chill under cold running water or place in ice bath

Won't turn gray, green, or stick to the shells.

I do mine alittle diff then most.
1dozen eggs hard boiled
fresh cooked diced maple cured smoked bacon-not much
1/3cup of miracle whip
1/8 cup of ranch dressing
2 tablespoons of spicey musterd
dash of garlic
dash of sea salt and pepper
dash of celery salt
a real fine dash of cayenne powder
3tablespoons of sour cream
a sprinkle of dried thyme

When eggs are done boiling put instantly into ice filled water for 5min then peel under cold water.Trust me its A lifesaver. After peeled cut in half like normal. With yokes in a bowl add all ingrediants and mash with fork. This is the taste test time, knowing what to add more of.After whipping the yolks place into A sandwhich bag and cut the corner slightly with scissors and fill the egg hlalfes with the filling.

Try this and you will be the hit of the party.Oh forgot sprinkle paprika as needed if for anything the looks.

I make mine with mayonnaise, dry mustard, vinegar, and pepper. I sprinkle the top with paprika after I fill them.

Mayo, squirt of mustard, salt, pepper, a dash of Lawerys and nice spoonful of horseradish.:thumbsup2

Boil eggs, cut in half lengthwaise, scoop yolks into a bowl.

Mash yolks with mayo, mustard (French's), and some juice drained out of a jar of dill pickles. :wizard: Season with S&P, and a little garlic and/or onion powder.

Spoon yolk maxture back into whites, and sprinkle with paprika.

YUMMMY! Now I am craving some.

I'm with a pp - only I use Hellman's mayo instead:

yolks, squirt of mustard, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth. use pastry tube to get that swirled effect. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Hmmmm....I think I'll make these for Christmas Eve dinner.
