Developer Points Question

If I change my current reservations to developer points, does anyone know when my regular points will be available to me again? Will I have to wait the 10 days for the paperwork to be completed?

I just did this a couple of days ago. The regular points (that went back) are showed up immediately on the DVC site as available points. However, my new AK points for 2007 are not yet showing as being bankable. I was able to use the new AK points for a May reservation.

MS had originally told me they had to complete forms and it would take about 2 weeks for it to be reflected. However, mine may have been a little more complicated because they replaced my 07 pts with the Dev.Pts. But they had to take some time to do this because I had some banked and borrowe points mixed in with 07 pts for the reservation.

So they had to make sure I was still using the banked/borrowed pts first, then the Dev Pts, so that all my regular 07 points are still bankable.

How do developer points show up online? I can see the AKV contract I bought Wednesday, but it only shows the regualar 2007 points, not the developer points.

MS told me that developer points will not ever show up online...

We used ours for a one-bedroom week at BCV in January...made the reservation 7/20...MS told us it would take 2 weeks to get the reservation in the mail...hadn't arrived by yesterday (8/3), so I called...they gave me the reservation number, and repeated that this reservation would not show up at dvcmember.com...the CM told me that developer points are on a separate system, and that that system is not online...

Same here.

Our new points plus the 07 points that I replaced with DP's are visible on the member site & show as available but only the replaced points are showing as available to bank. I'm guessing once all the paperwork is taken care of...

I was also told that DP's come from a different source & won't show online.

I would give a day turn around time from when you request the change over from regular points to developer points for it to be squared away.

While a regular MS rep took my request, she did tell me there were forms to be filled out & she would need help from a supervisor. I got a call the next day from someone else just to confirm/clarify what was going to be done & it showed accurately on line within a few hours.

Nobody knows.

With the number of people taking advantage I wouldn't expect it to be too long.
