I'm so sorry. Cancer is the worst word in the world, in my opinion. My heart just aches for you. I send a ~~hug~~, prayer, and a continual wish for you and your family to be able to deal with the issues at hand.

So I found out today that my son's friend's mom had a stroke and is not expected to live. They have four children. Another mom from school is in intensive care with newly discovered and advanced colon cancer. Three children. Found that out today too. My friend's brother was killed in Oregon on a snowmobile. I found that out today. My mother called me in the middle of all of this discovery and told me my dad had a catscan today that revealed a tumor in his lung and fluid around it. *** really

How sad...bless your heart sweetie . There are no words at a time like this, but please know that many hearts and prayers are with you thru this difficult time. Sending prayers of healing for your Dad, strength and courage for your Mom. My heart and prayers go out to the family whose Mom has cancer, the family whose Mom had a stroke, and also your brother's loss. So many lives touched by grief and such a test of faith, each so heartbreaking.

I hope this doesn't sound too 'Pollyanna-ish', but when things like this start hitting hard and fast, sometimes that's when it is time to take a moment to remember all the good things in our lives and be thankful. Often, that give me the strength to pick myself up and go see what I can do to help.
