Thanks. I might be kind of spoiled when it comes to cannollis because my stepmother is Italian and makes them from scratch and they are wonderful!

Hi ladies, I just found your report a couple days ago and now I am caught up. You took some great pictures. I love that the Pooh photo shoot is in Christopher Robin's bedroom now. Pooh is one of my favorites. It sounds like you were having a fun trip but I can't imagine how Caitlin ran in shoes that didn't fit.

Nice update! I have to say - that cannoli did not look appetizing. I wouldn't be fond of the shell being chocolate covered and I love chocolate. Yay for pic with the Beast! That's my favorite movie. I wish they would keep the topiaries year round too! We were fortunate to see the F&G twice and it just keeps getting prettier. I'm with you - since when is 80's music considered oldies:confused

The movie plays throughout the day and it is a nice place to cool off on a hot day or to take a nap

She is finally better but it took several rounds of antibiotics and she missed a week of school. It was the sickest she's ever been so it was a bit scary for us.

If i had realized what the cannolli was like I would have chosen a different dessert.

Beauty and the Beast is Caitlin's favorite too. She's loved it since she was 2

I still think of "oldies" as my parent's era from like the 50's. 80's as "oldies" makes me feel ancient

Hi Everyone! Time for another update....

Caitlin had ordered dessert at VN but I had really wanted a cannolli which they didn't have on the menu Odd,right?

So we headed outside and our first stop was the Italian refreshment stand which does sell them. I was totally in the mood for this but sadly I was a little disappointed

Don't you hate that? You get all worked up about something that should be great, then... meh.

It looked good but it was frozen and as it started to melt it got very messy!

Frozen. There's the first sign of danger, I think.

You see as soon as we were seated in the theater, she was OUT. So much for the "new experience". At the time I thought she was just tired from the early morning race and having a hard time bouncing back. (In reality though she was very ill with a serious kidney infection that almost landed her in the hospital just days after we got home)

And you just nonchalantly throw that out there???

We had lunch.
I had a cannoli.
Caitlin almost died.
We saw a movie.
We saw some characters.

Same old, same old.

When the movie ended I woke her up

You sure? It wasn't, "I revived her"?

As we were getting closer we kept noticing this woman trying to cut the line and get her pic with him. The handler was getting really annoyed as he kept telling her to get in line. Just as it was Caitlin's turn the woman ambushed the Beast and got her pic. Some folks just don't get it.

Where's a squirt gun when you need one.

Caitlin was super happy to see him though and isn't this pic cute?!

Seriously, don't you just love this view?!

Well... yeah!

We spent some time browsing around the UK shops and noticed they had changed the Pooh photo spot. It now looks like Christopher Robin's bedroom

I like it.

When we came out of the store we noticed that the British Revolution was getting ready for a show. We grabbed a seat on the ground, right down in front and had a blast! (although I kind of resented that their idea of oldies is music from the 80's!)

Must've been a typo. It looked like you said 80's were oldies... Nahhh...

After the show as we walked by the telephone booths we noticed people inside them taking pics. Like any good Dis-ser Caitlin keeps the number the in her phone so she called them and chatted for a minute. It's always fun to surprise people like that

Who had more fun, do you think? The people in the booths or Caitlin?

As we continued on our world tour Canada was next of course. As we strolled through the shop Caitlin took a moment to honor her beloved Detroit Red Wings by stopping to "boo" the Canucks merchandise. (my apologies to our Canadian Dis friends)

Yeah, that's okay. The Canucks are way over there. I'll root for my own team, thank you.

We sat down in the waiting area, which is quite dark, but before long we got sort of a creepy feeling. We suddenly realized ants were crawling all over us

Yikes! But...

The ants go marching one by one, hurrah! hurrah!
The ants go marching... oh never mind.

After the movie we had to decide what to do next...stay in World Showcase or head to Future World. I'll let Caitlin fill you in on what we chose

-You see some strange people at the airport here!
-I love the penguin airplane!
-I love the feeling you get when you step off of the airplane in Florida! It's just pure magic!
-I LOVED POR!
-I feel you! Me and my mom were in Oak Manor and I just remember it being a great location, but dragging all of our luggage from check-in across the bridge across to our room was bad!
-It was so hard for me to decide what to buy at Goofy's! I got the marshmallows covered in white chocolate on the crazy straw and topped with white chocolate chips! Delish!
-I LOVE Tren-D! They have the greatest stuff!
-I love the Mickey ear ornaments!
-I will be so glad when I stay at the resorts and they have the free wi-fi!
-What a pretty pic of the GF!
-I love the girls welcome show costumes!
-I love how much detail they put into the new HM queue!
-Wow! The picture of the ghost bride turned out really well! I always try to get a good picture of her, but haven't yet!
-How unfortunate I hate when an annoying little kid or anyone annoying just in general ruin a ride for us
-I cannot wait to see the new fantasyland! The Little Mermaid Ride is what I'm looking most forward to
-I have never ridden JC at night! I wanted to last trip but it just never worked out

Of course at the time we had no idea it was the kidney infection. We just thought she was having a hard time bouncing back from the race (which didn't really make sense to me since she is in great shape) I'm just glad she didn't start experiencing the pain while we were gone. That would have been too scary and stressful.
