Details on price increases

Hi, I was hoping to get some clarification on the price increases. My guide indicated all price increases would not affect members until June (including price increases for sold out resorts) and that the 93 pp incentive for AKV would be around for a while longer. Is this everyone's understanding? I also heard that BWV is going up to 98 and BCV to 101 - does anyone know about the other resorts? Thanks!

I called my guide today and here is what he told me the prices were as of today:

1. OKW - $92/point - no announed price increase
2. VWL - $95
3. BWV - $98
4. BCV - $101
5. SSR - $101 for members, buy more than 50 points for $91/pt
6. AKV - $104, buy 100+ points for $93/pt.

He told me the SSR and AKV prices are good through June 1, the other resorts may change at any time...decisions, decisions!

OKW $92.
WL $98.

For AKV, $104. minus $8. discount = $96. per pt.
For SSR, $101. minus $10. discount = $91. per pt.

Also... Closing price increases:
Financing= $320.
Cash = $230.

Models of studio/1 bdrm/2 bdrm AKV are open now...and I'm hearing they are "beautiful" !!

They're at SSR in the Theater. Any of the staff at SSR should be able to direct you to them.

Of course, if you go...and take pics...everyone would LOVE to see them.

AKV was $101 - $8. = $93.00 with purchase of 100points. did they go up already. Got mine at $93.00 and no closing costs a couple weeks ago.

I don't know anything about VWL, but on your other question, our guide assured us last night that the price increase is only for people not already on the wait list.

Since I was curious about the price changes last night and now have the
official word from our awesome guide Ron, I thought I would post so everyone would be updated. . .

For current members (before March 5th) - NO price increases until
June 4th!!

AKV = $101 pp - $8 incentive = $93 (min 100 pts.)
SSR = $101 pp - $10 incentive = $91 (min 50 pts.)

BCV = $95
BWV = $95
VWL = $95
OKW = $92
HHI = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 (min. 50 pts.)
VB = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 (min 50 pts.)

For new or prospective members:

AKV = $104 - $8 incentive = $96 (must buy in at 160 pts.)
SSR = $104 - $10 incentive = $94 " "

BWV = $98
VWL = $98
OKW, HH and VB = $92 (no price increase)

I got into a small tizzy because of the conflicting information this weekend and my guide has been on the Magic selling AKV so I can't reach her. I spoke with the person covering for her today and he confirmed what you just said. We are hoping for a small add-on at BCV. Let the waiting begin!!

Thanks for posting the current prices!

When you buy sold out resorts from Disney what use year points do you start with? For instance, if you have a Aug use year and are able to buy points directly thru Disney, would you get 06 points or do you start with 07 points?

You would get the current UY. So in your case that would be 06.

I went on the BCV waitlist on Saturday and got the points on Monday at the $95 price.
