I love those Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes!
Your Day 4 and 5 plans sound great! A surf lesson at TL sounds awesome! We have only done the water parks once, and after a few years away, I really want to go back, they are so much fun!![]()
Wow, those cupcakes are so creative! And it looks like you had fun on your theme night! Your trip is coming closer and closer; are you getting excited??
Does anyone know where i can find some good packing lists?? Disney specific would be great b/c it will have the theme park aspect included. I tried doing a search on here the other day but didn't have much luck - there is SOOOO much on the site that i often have troubles finding exactly what i'm looking for.
Migraine hangover.... been there, done that.Hope it goes away soon.
I love my Asics, gel 2060's! I just about broke the cardinal sin rule of runners - I wore practically brand new shoes for a Half Marathon. ** gasp ** I only just got them about 2 weeks before the Chip and Dale Relay this last January, wore them exclusively on the treadmill (because, again, I don't run outside in the cold), and wore them for the 13.1 miles. And the verdict was? The best race ever!! I predict you'll do a fine job in breaking them in (or not) and be perfectly comfortable for the race!
Asics are a really dependable shoe. I have the Asics Phoenix 3 and my mom has the same kind as you (only its last year's model, so its the 1160). She absolutely loves hers. She wishes she had a second pair, so I'd say just give yours a little time. I know it took a good month of running before mine felt worn in.
Your DD's shoes are really cute!
47 days! That's awesome! Sounds like your trip will arrive before you know it!![]()
so happy you came backHi! I started reading when you first posted your PTR but got busy so I've finally caught up.
LOVE your DD's shoes! Those are super cute! My mom swears by her asics, but I'm a nike kind of gal. Run barefoot? Ouch! If I walk on the treadmill for more than 3 minutes barefoot my feet are killing me!
Love your PTR! I bet the surfing lessons will be awesome!
hmmm, that's weird. Do you know what your foot habits are? You should know what type of arch you have but mostly how you step to choose runners. The Asics gels are for control but maybe you need shoes geared more to support and cushioning? if your not sure check out this link... http://www.runnersworld.com/shoeadvisorYay for the new Asics! I just bought a pair myself, but I have been having pain in my right arch when I wear them; I wonder if I'm doing something funky to make my feet hurt when they shouldn't. The shoe is SUPER comfortable, I just get pain about a mile into any run. I don't get it.Those look just like mine, but mine are pink and purple instead of having the blue only. I like your DD's too!
LOL - i try to weasle my way out of it too! In this day and age it's so easy to say there is already too much going on or your too tired. Half the time i whine all the way down to the treadmill but it always feels so good AFTER - not DURING but after it does. lolI have to say, the foam roller incident???I was ROLLING. Primarily, because it totally sounded like something I would do. LOL. OUCH! HAHAHAHA OUCH!!! Ok...ok...
LOL - ya - it was silly of me to try and balance on it when i have one that is cut in half lengthwise so it sits flat on the floor - at my age I'm better off balancing on that one. I am FINALLY getting to the point that it's not bugging me anymore. that was a MONTH!!!
DH has been doing the C25K thing for a while now too. I think he's on week 5 now? I'm not completely sure, but he's become a running machine. He has been running every other day like clockwork, and has dropped close to 40 or 45 lbs now. I think maybe I should give it a try. The only problem here is that I have never been a runner. I'm more of a faller.Maybe soon.
It's amazing how you can lose weight when you run. i've lost a bit but if i could stay away from junk food i know the pounds would be falling right off!!!
I totally admire you for running and keeping yourself accountable for it. That's one area I lack in. Whenever it comes to any type of exercising, I always weasle my way out of it one way or another.![]()
I got some new shoes this past week. I need to break them in on my treadmill. Yours look great!
I also got a foam roller, but now I am afraid to use it!![]()
NEXT UP - ONE and a HALF MONTHS til RACE TIME!!!
so happy you came backI post ALOT!!!

I don't know how dd runs barefoot - i tried it and HATED it and had sore shinsand aches I'd never had before but then i do hear some people swear by barefoot running. Maybe we should have gotten her a pair of those barefoot running shoes - you know, the ones that feel like your wearing next to nothing and have the individual toe spots like gloves?? lol. it would look cute but until i know for sure her body can handle lots of running without good shoe support we'll stick to some minamlist running shoes.
and I'm very excitted to see her take the surf lessons. she wanted to hit a beach where she could try it on her own but we will be out by Tampa which isn't very well known for surf waves and I'm glad!! i'd MUCH rather have her learn in a controlled environment with professionals around to take care of her. it's a win win for her and mommy
WELL, my migraine hangover went away exceptionally fast. I'm greatful but on the other hand I'm debating if i should just take another down day or get my butt on the treadmill again. I want to try out my runners but I'm feeling lazy and might rather post our next days plans instead????
I guess I'll see how it goes. maybe at least a 1K run???
Hi there - followed you over from the EE Challenge thread! And I'm so glad I did... I burned out on reading and writing TRs for a while there and took a break, but forgot how much fun it is to share in the planning excitement of others.
Your trip sounds amazing, and I'm not just saying that because it includes my neck of the woods.
(I'm near Madeira Beach and a HUGE Busch Gardens fan.)
Looking forward to more![]()
Glad you like the shirts. I guess you can't really get a close look at them from the pics but you get the idea. and DD and DH could do the Animation thing over and over too. I don't care for drawing but I do admit I was impressed with what i came out with too!!! it's amazing what you can do when it's broken down into regular shapes hey???Yes, I have seen those toe shoes before! I always wondered what they felt like. I am sure mommy is very glad she will be in a controlled area with lifeguards! It would definitely make me feel better!
Glad your migraine dissapeared!
Your Incredibles shirts are adorable; you should've gotten family of the day! Kim Possible!? I used to watch that show all the time when I was younger!! I hope they are there on our trip I would LOVE to get a picture with them!
The animation academy is my #1 favorite random thing to do in WDW. I would be in there all day if I could, that's the only way I can actually draw a decent drawing!DHS is tied with MK for my favorite park, I just love the atmosphere.
