Desserts with kids meals

Does anyone know what the dessert choices are that come with the kids meals? The last 2 times we were there most places had chocolate chip cookies, jello, and maybe some kind of cake or brownie. The chocolate chip cookies came 2 in a package. Does anyone know if Disney still has these? A friend of mine just came back and said the only dessert choices her kids ever had was applesauce or fruit, no real dessert items.

Its not advertised well that you can get something else, its in really small print underneath the regular menu offerings. DDs were able to get cookies, sometimes one of the little cakes, I'm trying to remember what else now but its slipping my mind. Most of the time they got the cookies or shared our desserts.

My kids got a dish of ice cream almost every night for dessert.

I guess I should of stated that I am speaking of mainly the counter service kids meals?

Usually the kids counter service meal comes with an entree and two sides. The sides they list are fairly healthy (carrots, grapes, applesauce). Underneath it says the sides can be substituted for the more unhealthy faire (cookies, fries).

I have just come back from 10 days there with a 6 year old so we had at least 10 CS childs meals.

They varied slightly from place to place but in general, the children's meals consisted of a "main" item (nuggets, cheeseburger, mac & cheese, turkey sandwich, small pizza, hot dog, chicken salad, PB & J sandwich etc ) accompanied by your choice of two sides - the choices were usually fries, applesauce, choc chip cookie, grapes, or carrot sticks.

On occasion we were able to substitute but it depended on the cashier.
