Hello all!
We're heading down in May...doing the dining plan.. ADR's are already made.. my question is... Will TS restaurants provide desserts "to go" if we ask for them? We normally don't like dessert right after a big meal, but enjoy a snack later in the evening.. I understand that the buffets probably don't allow this, but what about regular TS? I would hate to have to force a dessert down just to get my money's worth.. just curious.

From all reports, at regular TS restaraunts (not buffets) servers have no problem boxing up a dessert to go.

And why shouldn't they, when you tip on DDP, you are tipping on what the meal would have cost, so by packing your desserts for you, they are increasing their tippable bill amount with very little time and effort spent on their part. :) HTH

P.S. Of course, you will want to select desserts carefully as some will travel better than others.

Agree with DannysMom.

A few years ago, we had breakfast at Boatwright's. Even though they don't have dessert for breakfast, they packaged up two huge servings of strawberries for our DDP dessert.

Oh, I never thought about breakfast..what a great way to save snack credits and have a delicious snack from breakfast...

REMEMBER THIS!!!! I had 2 desserts boxed from Kona last July---we were just going to walk around MK (we had already been at WDW for a week so it was more to enjoy the nighttime atmosphere) but decided to ride BTMR--- our 2 desserts were pulverized and unrecognizable as to what they were originally suppose to be (and the dessert presentation is so pretty too :goodvibes

I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you after you came back.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

We were on DDP and got the skillet at WCC in '07 and our server packed our dessert for us. Since the skillet is AYCE it surprised me.

We had our desserts packed at WCC as well. Only my DH ordered the skillet. The dessert with the skillet is not all you can eat though. The server had no issues packing it up for me. Like others have said...it increases their tip.
