Do you always have dessert after dinner?
My husband has been seeing a nutritionist (He's lost 20 pounds!) and beacuse of it, our house is now sugar free and almost 100% fat free.
I miss my desserts though. I had become acustom to having ice cream or a cookie or two (or five) after dinner.

Nope, we have never been dessert people. The only time I make them are holidays. :)

Not an official dessert ate at the table. Usually have a snack after DD goes to bed. ;)

No, I only eat dessert on special occasions. I try to eat as healthy as I can.

Sometimes a little fat free pudding..but not very often. We sometimes split a dessert when we go out to dinner though.

We never have a dessert. If you are missing dessert than give the sugar free items a try, some of them are not half bad.

Nope. Rarely rarely do we go out for ice cream or something after dinner, and we never order dessert at a restaurant (except on vacations sometimes). There aren't any desserts in our house.

I'd rather have a bag of popcorn than a cookie anyways.

Really, I think it is a bad idea to introduce desserts to the household when your DH is trying to lose weight.

You will stop craving them after enough time. Just keep up the good work.

We ALWAYS have desserts in my house, neither of us are overweight and I am actually attempting to gain. Granted I have to bake all the desserts myself due to dietary restrictions, but these are pretty much the only carbs I get!

If you want a sweet yet healthy dessert do fruit and fruit dip, (cool whip, 1 small container vanilla yogurt and 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix, just mix em together and serve) you can make it low/no fat and its sweet!

Almost never.

The only time we have something would be holidays like thanksgiving or if we were having a big dinner party and needed additional items for people to bring (you can only do so many sides). So maybe 6 times a year + the cake etc at birthday parties etc.

I can't ever remember ordering dessert out. We don't keep ice cream, cookies etc in the house either. When my mom or grandmother visits they like to have sugar treats so we might go out for ice cream or something but we don't get stuff to have at the house.

That sounds good!

No need to deprive yourself - you can find healthy types of "desserts." One thing I like having is strawberries with strawberry yogurt - sometimes I'll put them over cottage cheese. It's sweet and yummy - but I'm guessing a lot healthier than strawberry cheesecake!

Be careful with the sugar free desserts. They tend to cause unwanted side effects. Yuck.

I don't like dessert. I can be in a room full of cakes, ice cream, pastries, pies, etc....and not blink an eye.

Now put me in a room with chips/dip, fries,....let's just say you better get out of my way.

We love dessert!

We don't do the fancy, sit at the table and serve dessert thing, but we'll have ice cream or shakes. Sometimes ds or dd will make a cake or brownies.

We never have dessert right after dinner, but maybe about 3 hours later we snack on something. It's not always sweet either. :)

I love dessert too! We usually have something in the house. Sometimes like tonight I eat dessert for dinner. Not healthy I know but if I go out for lunch I'm not hungry for dinner so I had a piece of leftover birthday cake. If I eat dinner I don't have room for dessert.

No, only on occasion. My BIL just HAS to have something sweet after every meal, even if it is just a small cookie. It just rounds out the meal for him, I guess.

He is not overweight, but I think parents would be best off not getting their children in that habit. If you must have something sweet on a regular basis, why not try some fruit (at least most of the time)? That would be a healthier habit to get into, especially as an example to the kids.

If it has chocolate in it, it's gone. That's my attitude towards dessert. Fortunately there usually tends to be a decent supply of it lying around, too, so I do get to have my dessert most days.

We do if we're at a restaurant, but at home usually not. Tonight though my husband made some break and bake cookies, so we did eat about 2 each, but most are still sitting there waiting to be wrapped up. Usually I'll have a yogurt after my daughter goes to bed, and she usually has a yogurt before she goes to bed too.
