Just back - have to ask this though... what the heck is the topping and frosting used on all the desserts? It looks like whipped cream, but has a strange consistency. I didn't really like it so that helped me not to gain so much weight :p

Can you order your dessert to go and take it back to your room?

Sure can ~ we ate dessert late several nights on our verandah.::yes::

They will usually give you the desert with the metal lid on it to carry back to your stateroom. It is nice to eat it later in the evening. Just remember to get utensils before you leave the dining room.

I'm on the Magic this week and when I asked the same question of the waiter last night, I was told it's real whipped cream with a stick of vanilla blended in...

We got some desserts to go from Palo for both our DS. They gave it on plates with metal covers as stated and napkins and utensils.

OMG, that vanilla bean whipped cream sounds heavenly!

It's toooo long till we sail again!:(

Sorry to tell you this - that "ain't" real whipped cream. It has a really funny "mouth feel" after you eat it. Kind of greasy, but not overly so. Just weird. I bake and make a lot of desserts and I have no idea what it is. Maybe it is that Desserta topping stuff?

I am happy to hear you can get dessert to go. I have a sweet tooth but I'm always so full at the end of a meal and my baby (age1) gets antsy in his high chair to long.
Room service decaf and dessert on the verandah after the kids go to sleep- Sounds heavenly!
I think I'll have to pick up some cordials to go with that decaf!
