any reviews and comments on the tomorrowland wishes dessert party. is there enough, many choices, is it too crowded to enjoy the food and fireworks. especially does it interfere with watching MSEP if you have to get there early. appreciate any help.

We did it in December. It was fun, but I caught it right before they raised the prices. Don't really know if it was worth it. We ate & drank hot chocolate like there was no tomorrow because of what we paid! I won't do it again because i could see a better straight on view at main st. But it was nice not being crowded. If you have $ to spend and don't care, do for it.

We did it last night. It was wonderful. There was plenty of food and space. We will do it again.

I haven't done the party but I would think it would be a bad spot to view the parade.
You are well off the "road" and lower as well. So you may want others opinion on this, if the parade is important to you.

Our family group of 10 did this last year and are doing it again next month. We didn't feel rushed. It was lovely !

Besure and keep a look out for the Disney Photo Pass Photograpers. Wonderful pics of our group with the castle ! An extra bonus.

We could only see the tops of the parade floats. But we had heard that before hand and had schedule the viewing of the parade for another night. Just don't plan on seeing the parade from the Dessert Party.

We did "stand" at the railing to watch the fireworks.

Our group rated the Dessert Party as A+++ !

We did it in September and would do it again. While it is a bit high priced for desserts, they were very good and there were plenty to choose from.
I am sad to see the price went up though :sad1:

We did it once for a MVMCP and it was very nice and so much to choose from but I wish we were hungrier so we could have got our monies worth. They do have a photopass person there to take pictures of you with the castle behind you and the view was amazing, there was maybe 12 other tables there and most left before the fireworks started.

We have a reservation for Wed 4/27/11 and on the email confirmation the time states 09:05pm, Can someone tell me if thats the time the fireworks start or is that the time they open Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party for those with reservations ?

Check in the park when you get there to see what time the fireworks start that night. No matter what your ADR time says, the Dessert Party opens for all attendees 1 hour before the fireworks - and some recent posters have reported that it's actually opening 5-10 minutes before the 1-hour mark, because of the new show projected onto the Castle.

There is no reason to line up 2 hours early; your place in line does not affect your seating. If the fireworks start at 10, you want to get there about a quarter to 9 with your entire party. Check in at the podium and they will give you all wristbands (because if you have to go to the bathroom you have to leave the party area; you can only get back in with the wristband). Shortly before 9 they seat all the checked-in guests; it goes really quickly because they are taking you to a specific table that already has your name on it. The buffet lines open immediately.

As some prior posters said, you really can't see much of the Parade; just the tops of the floats and the pretty lights. If you try to check in, go see the parade, and come back, you'll have missed most of the Party - seems like an awful waste of money. If this is your only MK day and the Parade is a must-do for your family, don't do the Dessert Party.

And for pity's sake, don't eat dinner. The Dessert Party IS dinner. If you have had a full dinner just a few hours earlier, you are not going to want to eat much, and sampling all the wonderful goodies is a major point of the Dessert Party.

is there enough, many choices,

There's plenty for everyone and a ton of choices. The desserts are small but very rich--one plate was plenty for all of us except dd's boyfriend who had a couple of plates full. We thought the desserts were very nice.

is it too crowded to enjoy the food and fireworks.

No, it's not crowded. Everyone has an assigned table. There is a fairly long line at the beginning of the party for the buffet but it moves very quickly. Get in line early to check in and you'll be one of the first in line for the buffet.

especially does it interfere with watching MSEP if you have to get there early. appreciate any help.

You can't really see anything but the tops of the floats and they pipe the music in.

My whole family loved the Dessert Party and I hope they continue to offer it. My 20 yo dd in all the years we've gone to WDW had never realized that Tinkerbell was a real person until she flew directly over our heads at the Dessert Party. :lmao: We went during Spring Break so it was fabulous to have a quiet place to enjoy the fireworks without fighting a huge crowd. We waited at our table for about 20 minutes after the fireworks and didn't have to try to leave the park along with everyone else.

Ditto to the ''don't eat dinner' advice. That was our biggest mistake. Save that dinner money since you are splurging on the dessert party. We had eaten a rather large dinner and forced ourselves to eat dessert. Lots of choices and a great way to watch the fireworks. But the parade is not really watchable from there. You can hear the music though.

Water, Iced Tea, Lemonade, Coffee, Tea...........

And milk, when we went in Oct! Yum! We had a great time. Probably not worth the price, but I would still do it again. The kids LOVED it, but what kid wouldn't love endless desserts?
