We are heading to the Nickelodeon resort next Monday and we are just spending one day (Tues the 25th) at the MK. We have been to MK before, but never stayed for the fireworks. We are going to go in the morning and leave sometime that afternoon. We plan to come back just for the fireworks...so I called just now and they still have spots open for the dessert party...the reason I was considering the dessert party is because i am going to have a cranky 2 year old and I was hoping that would occupy her until the fireworks get started. Has anyone gone to this? Is it good for kids or do you think it would be easier/better to be out in the park? How is the view?
I asked the reservations guy about the view and he was pretty much like "well you can see the castle from there." I could just hear the "DUH" in his tone of voice. He wasn't having a very magical morning apparently.

We went to the dessert party in April. The view is good the castle is a little off centre. The desserts were only ok not worth the cost of the party, but since you want to go to keep your 2yo busy I would probably do it. You don't have to be in the crowds, it is a nice relaxing place to wait, and it is a pretty good view of the fireworks.

Here is a picture we took from the dessert party

Thanks so much for the pic! That was one of the main things I was wondering about-what the view would be like. =)
