I was thinking about booking the Dessert Party for our upcoming trip. We will be traveling with some family members who have never seen the MSEP or Wishes. Is it possible to see the parade (on the Tomorrowland side of Main Street) and then head to the Dessert Party? Would it be better to watch the parade one night and attend the Dessert Party on a different night? Thanks!

You could see it from the terrace when we went. :)

(Ignore the horrible pic, it's from my phone)

It is better to watch the parade one night and attend the party another night. If you wait to get into the dessert party until after the parade, you will have missed a lot of the party. I have also heard they give your table to walk-ups if you don't show up by a certain time. You could possibly lose your spot. Plus, it may be difficult to navigate the crowds to actually get to the party in time for Wishes. That is kind of the point of the Party not having to deal with the masses. The desserts are good and all, but really it nice to have a bit of space to watch the fireworks.

You can't really see the parade from the location of the party. You can kind of see the floats in a distance, but you don't have a good view.

When we did the dessert party, we went to the MK another evening just to see the parade. If there are two parade viewings when you are there, You could probably see the second one as it isn't nearly as crowded.

I really like the idea of the party for the desserts, but I love the idea of the party because of the ability to avoid the masses. :) I realize that it would defeat the purpose (or most of it) if we still had to fight the post-parade crowds to reach the party.

I am wondering if there will be another parade added. We will be going at the end of July. Does anyone know if there are typically two parades offered at that time of year?

My original thought was to try to book FP+ for Wishes. Maybe it would be best to stick with that plan.

I very much appreciate all of the advice!

We did the dessert party last week as we really enjoy watching the fireworks without fighting the crowds. The view of the parade is not good plus it is the same time as you are eating the desserts.
We also had fast passes for Wishes and the parade on Saturday evening. The area for the parade is excellent and we had lots of room. Getting to the Rose Garden after for the wishes was a nightmare. Our four year old got crushed but we finally made it there. It is a good place to watch the fireworks and castle show. We sat on the grass and again had lots of room. I would never do both fast passes again as it is impossible to get from one area to another safely.

We also did the MSEP FP+ and the Wishes FP+, and I would do it everyday if I could. Yes, it is crowded and will take a little bit to get over there, but knowing this is half the battle. The distance to travel is small, and the payoff is great. Just break up into smaller groups when you go, leave immediately after the parade passes, and move with intent, but not rushing.

The night we had MSEP FP+ and Wishes FP+ was one of my favorite nights, by far. We had an 8yo and a 3yo in a stroller, and there was a woman next to us in an ECV and she got there too.

Can you please tell me what time you were to be at the reserved seating area for your FP+ for MSEP?

Yes, the FP+ for MSEP was around 20 minutes before parade time, maybe a 15 minute slot, closing off 5 minutes till. We arrived 30 minutes before parade start, and joined in the line that was forming, and ended up with curb spots 4 people wide directly in front of the castle. There was plenty of room, and the people standing up behind us joined in maybe 5 minutes before parade start time.

There are also a couple of benches inside this roped off area. My inlaws chose to enjoy these vs. sit with us on the curb/stand. Same with the Wishes garden area. Not a lot of seating, so if this is important, get there before the posted FP+ time.

Parade at 9pm
FP+ 8:40--8:55
We got in line around 8:30.

Guests at the Dessert Party will be at a distance of 180-220 feet (2/3 of a football field) from the parade,
with guests standing between them and the parade entries.
I've presented the areas (in blue) that are (somewhat) unobstructed by trees between the Noodle Station and the Hub area.
