Is there a potty on the balcony for the dessert buffet? All you can drink drinks and all you can eat desserts sounds like a recipe for disaster with my crew.

Is it worth the cost?

There is no bathroom on the balcony, however, DS (5yo), naturally had to go 5 minutes before the show started. Luckily, the CM was super understanding and let him use the employee bathroom on the other side of the art gallery.

As for if the cost is worth it, IMHO I would say yes especially if you have young ones who may have a problem sitting there for 2 hours before the show.

We did it at Thanksgiving and it was fine. I thought the desserts were okay and it seemed a little rushed. Do I regret it?? Maybe a little, that was a lot of money. If someone has never seen Fantasmic I would be more tempted to suggest it.

Thanks for the input. Where is the nearest potty to either the balcony or the other reserved seating area? I can guarantee that my kids will need to use it at the most inconvenient time.

If you have seen Fantasmic at WDW you might regret spending this money. I know when we did it we had not been to WDW and since my fil is disabled and cannot stand or sit on the ground it seemed like a great idea and it was since it was the only way to see the show and I had never seen anything like it before. A wonderful splurge for my husband's birthday and we ended it up doing it again on our next visit. But now that I see it at WDW a few times a year and have a whole amphitheater of seating available, I wouldn't spend the money. Disneyland's show is wonderful and somewhat better in that they use a real steamboat for the ending instead of the plywood one at MGM Studios and they have an incredible Peter Pan sequence on the Sailing Ship Columbia instead of the Pocahantas one but it is in many ways the same show. So if you have a family you will be paying a whole lot of money for tasty desserts that are not worth that price to see a show you might have already seen numerous times. If however you can splurge and not have to cut back on other things then it would be great to have such a wonderful vantage point to see the show and compare the differences for yourself.

And the nearest potty is in New Orleans Square right near there sort of by the Christmas store if memory serves.

For our very first DL trip, I wanted to try everything - so we did the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet. The balcony was sold out to a private party the night we did it so we were by the water.

It was fantastic. I would do it again. Is it a lot of money, yes - but for my family it was worth it. It was so cool having a spot to sit and watch not only Fantasmic, but also the fireworks.

The cms took great care of us. Our hands were never free of a drink. The desserts were so-so, but the atmosphere was wonderful.

I figured we'll try it once - and if we hate it, we won't do it again. But we loved it and will do it again whenever we're at DL again.

We did it in August and the place was packed. It is a special treat and we will do it again if we can afford it. The CM's allowed the kids to use the bathroom, np. It was a wonderful. First rate service.

we are a family of 6, and I couldn't justify spending that much for the dessert buffet. So, instead we waited until the 2nd show and sat at the River Belle Terrace, on the outside patio. We got to the door of the restaurant about 30 minutes before the 2nd show, and a super nice CM lest us in to stand at the terrace door as soon as she was allowed to. We had talked to her earlier, and she told us to come in the door that is next to Tarzans Treehouse. We were the 1st ones let onto the terrace, and got a table with a perfect view. Me and DS went to get desserts for all of us from RBT, and we ate and talked until the 2nd show started. We had to sit for about an hour, but we had seats and had been going all day/week, so it was a nice little break. In fact, my kids are old enough that we let them go for a ride on HM while we waited at the table. This will only work if the lines are short enough to get on the ride pretty quickly. We had a spectacular view, a nice dessert (the strawberry shortcake is wonderful!), and only spent about $30.00-$40.00 total. We have done this twice, and it has worked well for us!! :sunny:
