Okay wise DISers, my wonderful DH just loves dim sum. He used to get it all the time in Chinatown when we lived in the Los Angeles area. Where we live now there's none to be found. None that are worth eating anyway!

We are going to WDW after Thanksgiving and I need to know is there any place either in the parks, or DTD, or the resorts, or anywhere near WDW to get good dim sum? I want to find out before hand so when we're there I can make sure he's able to get his "fix". :goodvibes

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you in advance! :flower:

Nine Dragons in China at Epcot does serve Dim Sum which you mostly order off the menu. Sometimes they come around with trays. It is not as good as what you can get in Chinatown in LA or SF, but it is passable and my son enjoys it so much. We've only tried the Har Gow, Char Sui Bao, and the Sticky Rice for lunch.

My DH also love dim sum but, I think you will have to go outside of WDW to find it. Just not enough folks like it to have it on menu. I have tried in several cities, and only like the desserts. :rotfl2:

I want to say the nearest dim sum in Orlando is on the west side, at a Chinese buffet, besides the lunch at Nine Dragons. We usually wait until we go to visit my family near Tampa to get dim sum. :(

THE best Dim Sum in the Orlando area can be found at a place called Ming Court on International Drive -- just past the convention center. Ming Court has been reviewed as one of the top 100 chinese resteruants in the US.

I was there yesterday, I always go there once per trip!

The dim sum at Nine Dragons was delicious. At least according to my kids. We ordered three different items, one for each of the kids and one for DH and I to share. All DH and I got was half a piece each because the kids devoured the rest. What little I had was good though.

Definately...if you are used to the real stuff then head to Ming Court. They only serve it at lunch time and it is very good.
