I am in desperate need of some help. My dd's beloved blankie has developed a big whole in it and she is devistated. I don't know how to fix it. I was hoping to find someone through the DIS that would be able to fix it for her. I would be willing to ship it to you and pay you to fix it. Here is a picture of the damage. Actually, if you look at the picture you can kind of tell that there is a knot in the yarn. When you untie the knot the whole is about 4x6. The blanket was her baby blanket and it's very dear to her. I would hate to take it from her because she loves it so. HELP!!!!!

I am a knitter but not sure how to repair that to look like new. Maybe someone else will know.

What I would do to repair or salvage the blankie is get some sort of patch and sew it on. You might need to get two, one for the front and one for the back, and sew them together.

Good luck.

It doesn't have to look like new. She isn't even against adding some different yarn in there to fix up the whole. Unfortunately, I don't think that a patch would work in this case.
