i realized last night, while watching the show, that there are two melrose place alums on desperate housewives!! marcia cross, who we all know played kimberly, but also doug savant...he played the resident gay guy, matt! (did you know that he's married to laura leighton, the gal who played sydney?)

I didn't have the volume up loud enough on the TV I was watching (was babysitting last night) so I kinda missed what was said on the newscast.

I think a dead twin is a VERY good line of thinking...because it seems to be affecting the son alot.

I agree with the poster who said they don't think it can be a child's body in that trunk... seems to me it might kill the show, I know I don't want it to be a child.... I was thinking more like maybe an animal or something..... all I know is that I love this show too !!!!!!

Loved the show this week. I too was cracking up. Thank goodness for a digital recorder. I had to rewind it to make sure she said what I thought she said.

I think the single guy is either a bad guy who sent the note to Mary Alice or an FBI undercover guy investigating the mysterious trunk incident. I prefer the latter explaination because he's just too cute to be a bad guy!

I absolutely LOVE this show, ALL the characters come together so great, haven't seen that since Seinfeld! And what Bree said--I laughed for 5 min straight, I swear I did! The looks on everyones faces was--PRICELESS!! I think that the Husband who works, and goes out to Sombrero Partys is a Keeper, At least I think he is! Maybe Mary Alice killed someone, or the DH did! And Mary found out about it, that is WHY she killed herself....

Ok not sure why but I thought the single guy was an undercover cop. Something he said on the phone at the end of the first episode. But maybe I was just assuming.

Did anyone else catch the statement the father said to the son about taking his medicine? I think the son may be/have been sick or something. Maybe the dead body has to do with saving the sons life?

I too laughed for minutes after Bree's announcement. And I loved Carlos' statement that he'd cry too if he had to make love to her. It will be very interesting when Carlos finds out about the gardener and Gabrielle especially after his statement last night about being made a fool of. I am guessing Gabrielle gets pregnant here soon and isn't sure who the father is... or maybe i just watch too many soap operas!

This show is great. There are so many little storylines underneath the overreaching "what's the secret in the trunk" storyline. It's got me hooked!!

I'm guessing that in the mystery box are the bones of a dog. Maybe one of them ran over a neighbor's dog. It can't be too serious, not on that show! (not that hitting and killing a dog isn't serious)

It's probably going to be the season cliff hanger too!

Yes, I remember him on the phone as well but can't remember what he said. I wasn't surprised about the stuff in the cabinet because I knew he was doing something undercover.

I love Bree's character. How funny is she?

My only petty complaint is that the women's hair is always so messy. Terri Garr has pretty hair but it's always messed up and forget the Felicity Huffman character - she's a mess. I know she has all those little kids but I'm so distracted by that hair in her face. (c'mon, it's TV - let's pretend that moms have time to brush their hair!)

they showed back at his house Nicolette cleaning up; they showed the inside of his cabinet with lots of money, a map of the street with notes and highlights and maybe a gun?? Am I imagining things? I could swear this happened. If that's the case, I'm thinking does it have anything to do with the neighbor that killed herself??

I mentioned in another post that I read on another site that we would find out what was in the box in the 5th episode. Another poster reorted that she heard in an interview that by episode 9 it still wasn't out of the bag. I did some digging around and that's exactly right. We are still in the dark all the way through November sweeps Which means we probably will be until Jan or Feb at the least.

I did find a site with a few nice sneak peaks. No real juicy spoilers though....although it does give you some peaks at how the plots and subplots change and evolve....if you want to take a look it's at http://www.desperatehousewives.org/Spoilers.html. And no, it does not reveal the secret of the box or Mary Alice's death so it's pretty safe and fun reading.

I did not want to post anything that may ruin the show for those who like the element of surprise

Blondie - The newscast said the remains were human. Not that they couldn't be wrong on the news cast... I guess I don't think the husband would dig up the pool and try and sink the trunk if it was the neighbors dog.

Do you mean Terri Hatcher? I don't think her hair is messy, I guess if it was I didn't notice. Yes, the mom with 4 kids hair is always messy, she doesn't dress all that great either. I think they are just trying to show how insanely crazy her life is. Bree's hair and Gabrielle's hair are always perfect, Bree's is too perfect, just like her.
