I'm from FL and DH is from Scotland. I lived with him in Aberdeen with him for a year before we moved back here to Orlando. Growing up in FL, I had gotten so sick of the heat. You never realise what you have till it's gone though. I about went nuts over there because I think I saw the sun less than 5 times in that year. It was crazy. I'm glad to be back here but.....


Could you all bring me a Cheese and Onion sandwich when you come?


ETA: DH would like a King Rib from the chip shop, lol

Sadly very true for Aberdeen. Normally we do get lovely weather in the summer but this year if its not been rain its been thick fog.

Sadly I don't think we would be able to get a king rib through customs. Tell your DH that the ashvale sadly won't deliver that far.

Will do, lol. I thought about you gals today. We went down to Universal so I snapped a shot of the sky with my cell phone for you.

Don't be too jealous though. It was waaaay too hot. This much heat makes you sick. But I did think you'd like the blue sky.

Well, did not expect so many replies -

But i must confess, where else on this earth would you see people out in the thousands is grey, dank & miserable weather making thes most of things! I ran 5k (with a chest infection!) for Race for Life yesterday and today joined thousands to watch the Olympic Torch pass through our town - whilst both events would have been busier and happier with blue sky and warmth - there is no denying 'us Brits' do try to make the best of things!
