Hmmmm, I think of myself as fairy crafty person but I do not know why I never thought to make my family shirts for our vacation to Disney. I thought about buying some but it really is hard to find matching in all sizes. So PLEASE tell me, :confused3 how do I go about making shirts for my family?
I have no idea where to even begin! Please treat me as a preschooler and hand hold me through this process. I would be much obliged!

I would also like advice on this except that I am really not a very crafty person! :confused3

I have been looking thru the designs and would love to make some shirts for my upcoming trip with DS but I am not even sure where to begin! I would assume that I need to 'reverse' print the design on transfer paper and then iron on a shirt, correct?

Any help/advice/guidance is greatly appreciated!

I saw a 0? (red and white polka dots) Minnie Mouse with name (in polka dots too) but now I am not able to find it. UGH! This is really overwhelming. I ***wish*** my fairy godmother would come rescue me! Giggles, my eyes are tired! After seeing so many designs- I am NOT crafty! WOW!!!!:cool1:

Check with Cutiesnana's page for her designs. Here is her photobucket where it is in. http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n235/cuties_nana/Girls/

There are several awesome designers on here..check out their links to their designs, trust me, there are several...and sometimes it's mind boggling to which you need to choose from:) rumblytumbly isn't designing right now but you can access her site, wickedmom has some great ones too, natalie from pa, Amy used to have a site, but now, she does Non-Disney ones, but she is still awesome:) cutiesnana's plus several more that I can't remember their names...just click on any offer different ideas, like invitations, tip envelopes, etc...You will be amazed as to how MANY there are..good luck, and happy shirt making.. I forgot to add Michelle...sorry about that Michelle:)

I was also overwhelmed when I found this site. I decided that I wanted a shirt for each of the parks we were going to:MK,AK and the Studios. We have a common last name so I found a lot of generic designs on rumblytumbly's site.

I ordered shirts from jiffyshirts.com. They have good prices and FAST delivery. I think I paid about 50 bucks for 18 shirts. Even though I had made shirts before I had trouble this time with the transfer process.

Most of the transfers I found were for inkjet printers and I tried to print them at work, not realizing it was a laser printer so it was heating the transfer and ruining it. Eventually I figured that out and was able to do the shirts.

If you use dark transfer paper you don't have to reverse the image-only if you use light. But you can use dark on either light or dark shirts but you can't use them the other way around.

I am excited to wear our shirts next week and take lots of great pictures.

I have NO talent so you can imagine how overwhelmed I feel! But, I WANT to learn so bad that I'm willing to take a crack at it. So I've been trying to figure this out... AND DOCUMENT the steps! Check out this thread to follow my logic from what I've learned by surfing this board for a day and a half...

(keep in mind that I'm talent-challenged :lmao: )

I'd appreciate any help in authoring my "making a Disney shirt for Dummies" handbook together and add to that thread so we can have a step-by-step guide for those of us who are newbies.

Hey, I'd buy one of those! Sign me up! :rotfl:

Thanks for pointing me in the right directions- I would also by a Guide for dummies! I am so excited about making great shirts for our trip! Thanks again-this boards creativity amazes me!:worship:

of course I'm joking about the guide :lmao: :lmao: but I am compiling the directions for myself and will update my earlier post as I gather more data! I'm in the same boat - maybe one with water in it even as I am so artistically challenged it's pathetic!
