Thank you so much everyone for your opinions! The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to lean towards #2 or 3. I LOVE the top of #1, but the more I look at it, the more I think I'm swallowed by the skirt. But, we're going again Thursday to show some members of my family and my maid of honor and we'll make a decision then. I'll keep everyone posted.

Well we kind of hit a bit of a snag with our wedding plans. We got a call from Bill today because today was supposed to be the dat we were to confirm our date, and though the Wedding Pavilion is available for our date and time, we aren't able to get the GF for our reception. Apparently a convention has booked the entire convention center so we won't be able to have it there. So, it puts us in a bit of a snag. We're now trying to decide whether to change our date, or look into another place for our reception.

I'm sure what ever you decide your day will be amazing. There are some really great choices for other venues if thats what you go for, even if none of them are to your liking it's always fun researching. x

This is EXACTLY what happened to us! We had to choose between moving the wedding up a week or having the reception in a Contemporary ballroom. We chose to move it up a week; I really wanted our entire wedding to be at GF. I was a little upset because I had gotten attached to the old date, but now I've been saying the new one for so long that it seems like we've always had it. Once you have your true, confirmed plan, I think you will fall in love with it and not look back.

We also got bumped by a convention a few weeks before we were supposed to confirm. We decided to move the date up a week so we could keep our locations. I haven't heard great things about the contemporary ballrooms (very sparse). Did you want dancing? You could look into the restaurant locations nearby - narcoosees, citricos, or the private rooms at the California Grill.

I think we have decided to try to book a different date. After giving it some thought, I just don't think the Contemporary would be a good choice, and the other venues wouldn't be as convenient for us. Plus I fell in love with the GF. So, here is to hoping we can get one of the dates we are looking for!

Well we just got a call from Bill, and our wedding is now set for Oct. 28, 2012, unless the convention decides to cancel. Not my first choice of dates, but at least now we know that we are for sure getting married at the WP and GF!

That proposal is awesome! I love dress #2. The other two are nice, but 2 looks the best on you.

I'm glad you got a date. I'm a November 2013 bride-to-be, and I'm super worried about a convention stealing my date, too. I honestly didn't think they would hold conventions in November . . .

Wow, another Emilie! I have never met anyone with "my" name!

We had the same problem with the GF for our reception. We almost booked Ariels instead, but I just wasn't as into that, so we were flexible with our date to get the location we wanted. We ended up moving up by one day, which I hadn't wanted to do because my heart was set on the 24th of May, but in the end, the date is just a date. Your memories of where you have your events will stick in your mind much more than a date (if you are weird about #s like I am )

Thank you so much everyone! Like DoomBuggy said, even though it wasn't my first choice, at least we know for sure that we got a date and that we will have everything we wanted! I'm starting to like the idea of an October wedding now, and plus, it means I get married a week sooner.
And I know DVC Bride! I saw one of your posts and was like yay, another Emilie! hehe.
Well we are going back to David's Bridal today to show my MOH, aunt and sister the three dresses. Hopefully we'll be able to decide. Wish us luck!

Gorgeous dress! And I love the bridesmaids/maid of honor dresses! They are beautiful!
I know someone else that got a kids headband. Apparently they are trying these things are really big headed kids...haha!!
