I really did not like Antonio's design, especially the little boy's room. They had that beautiful dresser/changing table and he had a tacky white "bed" to go with it. Not thought, no creativity. Also hated the master and the living room. The kitchen was okay.

I didn't really like Dan's overuse of mirrors, but did like his overall looks.

It seemed to me like Vern liked Dan's design a lot better, but you never know the way they edit things.

I think they did pick Antonio because he was different, but I don't think he will appeal at all to HGTV's demographic. Bad choice. I won't watch his show.

I knew Antonio would win since the day he totally dismissed his client's taste, insulted them by saying they were ignorant and he knew better, and the judges loved that behavior from him.

What a scam!

I also don't like Antonio. He is crude. That fireplace/wardrobe/painted thing was awful. The room looked like a bunch of thrift store finds. Ew.

Dan was much more sophisticated. Geez. I think they already have a rough around the edges guy in David Bromstad on Color Splash.

I don't like his personality, but I could get past that if the guy had any idea about design. He doesn't. He just decorates to his own taste. By letting him redo his own house, he will prove nothing in regard to his abilities to do varied design projects. It will only prove that he can do his own thing. That is not what being a designer is about. What makes someone like Candice Olsen an amazing designer is that she listens to her clients wants, needs and taste and she designs for them. Her projects vary by client. Antonio will never be able to pull that off. It is too much about him. Remember "I would quite before I'll paint tan."

I predict his show won't last more than one season.
