Note that he says "your mileage may vary". Stuff that drives me crazy, my hubby snores through. And stuff that I ignore drives him up the wall. Noisy rooms are a matter of personal experience.

Because its a SHIP and moving it will never be totally silent.

CM Mom, it's the same for me. My husband snores like a buzz saw and could sleep through an explosion!
And to give you an idea of how noise is a matter of opinion, here's a story:
I was in the Rainforest once, speaking to a fellow cruiser who was having a wonderful time except for the noise in their stateroom. They said the engine noise and vibration was driving them absolutely crazy and they would never stay in that room again. I asked where they were, and he said "5150." That is the mirror room to 5650, my all-time favorite! I can hear a little engine noise, but to me it's a pleasant white noise drone. There is vibration, but only when the ship is docking...it used to be my wake-up call, but after dozens of times in that stateroom, I sleep right through it. I'd rather be in that room than any other, yet someone else is miserable in the same spot.

My Sister & her family + Grandma had 2594/2596 in May.There was a hummimg. It didn't keep them awake. We were in 2532. Friends in 2586, 2590 & 6541. No one had major noise complaints. Port days are understandably noisier. We just want to be back on the Magic-anywhere will be just fine with me

We are sailing May 6th. I will be sure to post a stateroom report when I get back. I'm sure the noise my kids will make will drown out any engine noise I may hear. LOL

Hopefully it is just an engine humming noise. That I can deal with. I'll let you know!
